Second quarter earnings reports quell economic fears
19.07.11
After a disappointing Monday, U.S. stock markets rebounded Tuesday thanks to strong second quarter earnings reports led by IBM, Coca-Cola and an increase in new housing starts. These positive economic indicators appear to have offset fears of the European debt crisis and a potential U.S. default.
IBM rose after reporting an increase in profit forecasts due to expected growth in demand for their software, according to Bloomberg. The Wall Street Journal is reporting Coca-Cola’s second quarter earnings surged by 18%, in part due to improved international growth.
Housing starts beat analysts’ forecasts and construction permits rose, Reuters reports. And unexpected success in the housing market gave investors optimism in the face of tense Washington debt ceiling negotiations.
The second quarter earnings season is off to an encouraging start as these reports follow positive announcements last week by JPMorgan, Citibank, and Google.
Goldman Sachs and Bank of America disappointed investors Tuesday according to a WSJ report. Goldman’s earnings report failed to meet expectations, sending its stock down by almost a full percentage point. Bank of America’s earnings fell as expected, as mortgage problems continue to plague the bank.
/PRNewswire/ -- Daily deal sites seem to be a dime a dozen these days, and though some consumers feel overwhelmed by the coupon fad, they'll agree that there's nothing overwhelming or annoying about saving money. There is, however, a little something that needs to be said regarding the odd variety of deals these sites promote. Some companies are so large in scope that they'll offer a discount on a restaurant one day, and fifty percent off a kayak lesson the next. It's this run of disjointed deals that annoys the coupon community, and turns them off to the concept entirely. Regardless of the deal though, the concept is not flawed. It's just that the community of subscribers of any deal site should mirror the viability or type of deals offered. Specialization might just be the future of our discounted web world. Movie fans will subscribe to movie deal sites, vacation lovers will subscribe to vacation deal sites, and foodies will subscribe to restaurant deal sites.

Car accs shop u want car wash stuff lots of makes, you want a sponge and and a wash leather and a bucket and some water if you car is really dirty wash it off with cold water first to remove grime use the hose pipe for this not the sponge or cloth. once washed dry it with a Leather buy it at the shop, then go back to the shop and buy some Car wax and rub that all over a patch at a time but if you haven't got a roll of mutton cloth to do this you need to go back to the shop and buy one of these as well,
So list all this stuff up and don't get fobbed off with this cloth and that cloth buy and use what it says here. then you will have an nice clean car which if you have waxed it properly it will look good and clean.
I do mine twice a year, and regardless of car i have been doing this for 46 years so believe me bro.
P.S it's not the same car, same practise goes for the motorbike which I have been doing for 48 years! have fun,

where do you buy car wash soap? and how much is it?
Oct 06, 2009 by Vikers | Posted in Buying & Selling
i need the car wash soap
so i can start a buisness of washing cars..
any ideas?
i was hopin u ppl say the sunoco gas station
or other stores but i was hopin cheap
and dish, detergent soaps arent good ppl say so...
http://www.poorboysworld.com/ I use Poorboys Super slick & suds car wash, but you can buy Meguiars at your grocery store or Target and Wal-Mart type stores. Dish detergent is a no-no as it will strip wax off the paint and leave it with no protection.

If you want to start a business washing cars, your best bet would be to buy in bulk. I would contact a company like Meguiars or Mothers and ask what their prices are.
If you are just starting a cheap little business and not a grand scale you could buy car wash at walmart or any other convenience store.

i use dishwashing detergent for my car. ive had 3 cars-the paint is beautiful, it always looks nice and gentle on teh car and very affordable. just mix it with a lot of water and you have enough for 3-5 cars. goodluck!

find a whole sale car detailer in your area, since your going into business it is worth it to spend the time and effort to open an account with a car detailing supplier
car soap has special oils and waxes that are needed to keep the cars clear coat from drying out and becoming vulnerable to the elements so don't try to use anything other than car soap that is made exactly for washing cars
when I was 16 I started a mobile car detailing company, it was a really good experience that I learned a lot from, plus I was making $25-$55/hour setting my own schedule and so on
google around to find books and dvd's and car detailing because its not as easy as it seems, their is a lot to know about auto detailing, it is not as easy as it seems
I went out and bought a T100 pick up for $11K, 55 gallon water tank for $90, water pump $150, generator $450, vacuum $220, hoses, products, business cards, business license, insurance etc approx. $1200
As you can see for under $15K I was up and running and within 2 weeks I was busy everyday of the week and had 30+ full time customers that I saw once week at the same time and place

Walmart or any auto parts store.
If you are opening a detail business they have guys that go around and supply all kind of stuff just for that business.

How to remove thick dirt from a black car?
Jul 29, 2009 by Steve W | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
A have a black jeep Cherokee and I'm using Lysol dish soap and water. I have no money to go out and buy car wash stuff or go to a car wash. So if anyone knows a way I'd appreciate it.
spray your whole car down and just soak the crap out of it.
or pressure wash it.

Anyone know any secrets for getting water spots off your car?
Jun 05, 2008 by LinkTheWorld | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
Why oh why did I buy a black car? nevermind that one
I went away on vacation for a week and I came back and the sprinkler was getting my car wet everyday. I took it to a car wash that didnt work, I bought car wash stuff and that didnt work, I tried this 10 dollar 3 in 1 claybar stuff and that didnt work....ahhhhhhhhh what should I try?
Was this clay bar you bought one of those "liquid" clay bars? If so, those things suck. Claymagic has the best clay bar I have ever used, and it usually will remove water spots on my White 1994 GT.
If that doesn't work, a good swirl mark remover will usually do the trick, but you need to use a quality product like Poorboys, Duragloss or Klasse All in one.
Depending on how long the water spots have been there, you might need a buffer. I normally don't recommend those cheap buffers you can buy at Walmart and Sears, but they usually have enough power to remove even the most stubborn water spots.
Shoot me an email if you need any help. I'm sure we can figure it out.
