When Matt and Laura Weber took the stage Friday night to accept the Naperville Area Chambers of Commerce’s award for Business to Consumer Small Business of the Year, Matt got a little emotional.
“I’m so happy I’m going to cry,” the owner of Clark’s Car Care told the 350 people in the main ballroom of the new Chicago Marriott Naperville as the Beatles’ “Drive My Car” played in the background.
He didn’t cry, but instead offered a quote from the late McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc. “You’re only as good as the people you hire,” he said.
When the pair came back later in the evening to accept the Chamber’s Overall Small Business of the Year Award, Matt joked, “OK, so my first speech wasn’t that great …. but this feels like that movie, ‘It’s a Wonderful Life.’”
Afterward, the pair spoke of starting the auto repair business in 2001 on a shoestring budget.

What is the best car care product out there?
Feb 01, 2010 by SunnyD | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
The correct answer is " The owner of the car" If you maintain the car with frequent car washings and oil changes and the car will last for a very long time. Just do your routine maintenance according to the owners manual and use quality parts.
Mequiars makes a very good car wash, add a good wax twice a year and you will be fine.
good luck......

I think there are many companies tied for the title of best products. One way to remove water spots and make your car look great is to start of with washing it then using a cleaner type polish, then go over it again with a wax type polish. Some brands have 3 polishes to use to do this.

i have a sc300 or Soarer from Japan and I use Shining Monkey wax, my car is a 1998 and shiney and smooth like it was an 2006... thats my vote - I have used megaurs and others for years... i tried Shining Monkey and now, ill never use anything else, that stuff is priced right and works amazing, better than even professional stuff i've tried

It all depends on what sort of reflection you're going for and how much you're willing to spend. Not to mention the effort involved in it as well.
Alot of folks swear by a certain brand, myself included. There are folks that swear by Zaino, Zymol, Eagle One, Turtle Wax(ewww), just to name a few.
I'm a firm believer in Meguiars' products. I took a look at the other products out there and saw I could get the same results without spending the insance amount of money the first two companies I mentioned wanted.
It's ultimately up to you to decide what's best for your GT-R.
(No, I'm not being compensated for mentioning Meguairs') :)

im searching for a car care product that leaves my vinyl dashboard very shiny, yet non-greasy. thanks?

I assume you want to use something besides Armor All. Armor doesn't have to be greasy - you just wipe the excess off.
If that doesn't work, try Pledge. Back in the days of Car shows in our family, my dad used to use Lemon scented pledge on his wheels because he didn't like the oily look of armor all.

Whats the best place to buy car care products?
Nov 03, 2006 by charms | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
In response to a recent post regarding car wax...someone wrote that place like AutoZone and Advance are not true specialty stores with a knowledgeable staff. So now I'm curious--what are some good places to go to for advice? for good prices? On things like waxes and tire shines etc.
