I am looking for a product to remove ard water spots. Also I just want to know who makes the best car care products.
3M, Mothers and Meguairs

I think there are many companies tied for the title of best products. One way to remove water spots and make your car look great is to start of with washing it then using a cleaner type polish, then go over it again with a wax type polish. Some brands have 3 polishes to use to do this.

What Dashboard Car Care Products Work Best?
Dec 06, 2009 by Rob L | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I bought some over the counter products with mixed results to try and get rid of some water spots from the sunroof being accidentally left open. Nothing seems to get the job done. I'm think about using some very fine grade sand paper to sand them out, then a buff it, if all else fails. It's a strip of black plastic that runs the length of the bottom part of the front windshield.
try Armor All

I tried with Maruthi car care products, really it made my dash board shining.

Whats the best place to buy car care products?
Nov 03, 2006 by charms | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
In response to a recent post regarding car wax...someone wrote that place like AutoZone and Advance are not true specialty stores with a knowledgeable staff. So now I'm curious--what are some good places to go to for advice? for good prices? On things like waxes and tire shines etc.

Pep Boys, Kragan, and AutoZone will generally all sell the same products. I would recommend researching this information online. Find consumer reviews and opinions and read recommendations then buy the products yourself. Or, consult with a car detailer and ask him/her what products they use.

Auto part stores will likely not be experts on this topic, but they most likely do carry good products. If you buy any waxes, polishes or tire shines, be sure to buy reputable brands like Meguiars or Mother's. Any of these products will be readily available and are very good products.

Walmart or dollar stores have the best prices on waxes and tire shines and all of that. The dollar stores around here have the same brands as autozone and walmart! So that dollar store is where I go get the same product, brand, size for several dollars cheaper than walmart and autozone.
As for advice in my opinion you are better off at walmart than autozone. I went to get a part for my explorer sport at autozone told them what I needed and the year and everything they told me that it did not come off of an explorer. I handed them the part. They still said it was not possible. Went straight to walmart and I got hooked up with what I needed and was out in under 10 minutes.

well they are right kragen and autozone staff arent trained they hire whoever they can pay the least. so there aren't really many stores out there with to much good advice. so you have to do the research yourself. My personal favorite on car waxes is Mothers & i can't remember the other one right now.

Unless you own a show car or a Ferarri, just go to Auto Zone.

Walmart, walmart, and you can buy walmart online.

Anywhere that sells Meguiars or Mothers products. It doesn't matter where you buy, it matters what you buy.

NAPA (National Auto Parts Association)
Long time industry leaders. Slightly more expensive than Auto Zone type stores but you get much better quality parts by the industry leading manufacturers and auto factory authorized distributors.

I am saleman for an aftermaket car care product. In your home town go to the nearest carwash and ask for the company name of the product they using. And ask for the name brand.

I didn`t know you were a pro. Shucks carries them for me.

You're right. they are not detailing experts...just consumers like you and me.
There are some resources to ask. I would start at a local car dealer that seems to have sharp cars in its used car lot. Go to the garage area and ask questions. A good car wash with a detailing area should be of some help too.
There are some catalogs you can search online and order from. They won't give advice on what to choose but you can see what's available...Remember they are selling THEIR products, not their competitors':

These are 2 catalog houses. A search will find more.
Another great source is in Yahoo Groups. The following group has over 2,000 members. There has not been much activity over the Summer but there will be as people are preparing cars for Winter. Pros, enthusiasts, and average people are members. Join it and ask your specific questions:

Of the readily available stuff, Mother's Reflections and Synwax, Meguiar's NXT and S100 carnauba wax (At your Harley Davidson dealer usually) are among the best, and even compare favorably to the boutique high end waxes.
If you want a slight improvement, then go boutique wax. First learn how to detail because even the most expensive wax won't do you good except lighten your wallet if you don't know how to properly wash, clay, polish and wax.

Where can I buy Auto Magic car care products online?
Jun 23, 2007 by natcham4084 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
This is like finding a needle in a haystack. It's almost as if they DON'T want anybody buying their products. They don't sell to the common man--you have to buy from a distributor, and I am having a very hard time even finding a distributor. I have found one, and they seem to carry only a limited number of Auto Magic products, and of course, they don't carry the one I want. Please help!! Thanks.
try going to a autozone and ask if they can order this for you.
you may have to get more than one, and also they may sell something that works as well..

from a store?
also is it good to dry your windows with newspaper?
I'd go to my local Walmart, they have a good selection of car care products. The ink on newspapers have excellent glass cleaning properties. Professional window washers often use newspapers to clean their windows.
