What car cleaning products work best?
Sep 12, 2009 by Giorgio | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I just bought a new 2007 Saab. What cleaning products should I use to effectively maintain the quality of finish and luster on my new car? Also, what product should I use on the tires to keep them looking good?
Let me know if there is anything else on the market that I could purchase to maintain the exterior/interior of my new car. Thank you.
autoglymm a good product

turtle wax

the best interior cleaner is black magic for leather and vinyl........for exterior....probably turtle wax stay away from armour all.........make sure not to get any interior cleaners on your window such as balck magic bec aus they cause a glare and distort your veiw and are very hard to remove from the glass...my recommendation is to have the windows all the way down and in the door when cleaning the doors......and use a pre used rag on the dash so you dont have to spray close to the windsheild.

A good list of car cleaning products to clean the inside and out of a Lexus RX 300 SUV?
Aug 24, 2006 by Educated Homeboy | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
My mom takes her dogs out in her car is extremely filthy with dirt marks and smells like wet dog. The mats are stained dark brown. I have a steam vac and it might not cut it, or might take forever. Also she spilled ice cream on the trunk mat. I need a good list of products to clean the vinyl, leather, fabric mats, windows, headlights, taillights, tires, rims, hand vacuum or whatever to make the car really clean. Thanks.
Those SUV's can get dirty I recommend spending the money for professional detailing in instances of gross interior neglect. Then go to pet smart and get canine crates or wire cages that fit the rear of the Lexus so people will want to ride in the seats again. Lexol makes saddle soap leather cleaners and conditioners Self Spray car wash soap and rinse all the floor mats shampoo with the steam cleaner the floors polish and wax the exterior and shine up the windows put new wiper blades in at this time. leave the under hood to some mechanic. Armor-all the tires and vinyl around the seat backs and door panels but just wash the dash and towel dry. Shine on dash reflects in the glass. Get one of those cans of car fresnener at Lowe's on the ends of the front isles by scent labs "aroma pots" lasts up to sixty days Jasmine, Mango Tangerine all good on top of dog smell.

How do I keep the showroom shine of my car? What kind of car cleaning products should I use?
Dec 28, 2007 by Cesar G | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Do not take the car through mechanical car washes because many times the water is unfiltered and the brushes have dirt from other peoples car in them. Before you wax your car use some sort of polishing compound, this is semi abrasive and removes any type of haze from the car. After that is buffed out you can apply wax. I like to use Meguiar's liquid gold wax, it come in a black cardboard box. Don't wax the car more than once a month because the wax can build up and make your car hazy. Use some sort of quick detailer in between waxes.

What cleaning products to keep a new car clean?
Jan 06, 2009 by Matt | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
There are so many cleaning products out there it's hard to pick the ones that are really needed. Right now I use Simple Green on the interior, RainX glass cleaner on glass, and dish soap, Nu Finish, and Turtle Wax Original paste wax on the exterior using a bunch of microfiber towels. Is there anything wrong with that?
i use meguiar's classic, but you can use any of the washes, eagle one spray on wax, armor all every 1k miles, glass cleaner for the exterior windows, dealership bought window cleaner for the inside of the windows
simple green works great, it is great for engine degreasing and cleaning up oil spills when change oil or transmission or coolant. just remember to cover the distributor, air intake (if you have) and any visible plugs (wire connections) with a plastic bag + rubberband. when you rinse off the simple green its important not to blast the water but rather "shower" it off
TIP: when waxing with microfiber, use the towels used for wax only for wax, drying for drying, and wiping for wiping. it also helps to use window towels for windows only
