The Motomax foam-based dashboard polish comes with an applicator. Keeping your car interiors clean is easy with the polish as it woks perfectly on vinyl, rubber and plastic surfaces ensuring that your car's interior doesn't lose its shine. The protective dashboard polish works against UV rays. Usage is easy with one just having to rub the applicator over the area intended to be cleaned. There's no need for additional sponges and water bowls, and the dashboard polish does not leave behind a strong odour after use. The dashboard cleaner is effective when it comes to removing oil, grease, or dirt that settles on vinyl, rubber and plastic surfaces in your car. You can even clean your bumpers. A word of caution though. Do not use the dashboard polish to shine up your steering wheel, pedals, gear, etc. This is of utmost important because once applied, the surface area proves to be slippery for a while.
Motomax Cream Polish lends that extra shine on your vehicle once it's cleaned thoroughly. It's effective Carnauba wax base and monopolizing agents adds to the gloss affect, apart from ensuring an unmatched smoothness. The cream polish is ideal for metallic paint finish on regular as well as premium cars . Use a little bit of polish a time, and move your applicator in a circular motion moving from one segment of the car to the other. Once the surface begins to dry and looks like a fuzzy white film, it should be cleaned with a soft clean cloth. This is imperative or you would end up with a dust coating, and at times minute scratches. While cleaning up, you can follow a buffing action to attain optimum shine. When cleaning the car, ensure that the vehicle isn't kept under direct sunlight.

Anyone know how to remove spots left on glass from accidently spraying car upholstery cleaner on it?
Apr 13, 2008 by Reuven K | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
So one day i was cleaning my car when i accidently sprayed some of the upholstery cleaner on the glass that covers my gauges (spedometer, odometer, etc). Now I have some lovely spots on there that i cannot get rid of. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking I may just have to pay to replace it.
The instrument panel clear surface is most likely plastic. And possibly the upholstry cleaner has etched itself into the plastic. Try just a little petroleum based solvent with a soft cloth, on a small area that's affected.

Yes, I have had to do this a lot for removing paint etc when working for a repair shop. Get a razor blade, one of the single edge ones is best, and gently push it across the glass. Take care and do not rush it. Make sure it is glass and not plastic as plastic will scratch

Is there a really good carpet and upholstery cleaner for my car?
Sep 14, 2007 by ☆Ashley☆ | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I have an 06 Saturn Ion. After delivering pizza for over a year I have noticed A LOT of stains (ie grease, dirt from the hotbags) and there is some pet urine, drink stains and an ink stain that just won't come out of the floor and seats.
I've used Blue Coral, Turtle Wax Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner, Woolite, Oxy Clean, Laundry Detergent, Peroxide. Everything I can think of.
I went to 4 different detailing shops and they told me they wouldn't be able to get the stains out, and the reason? They didn't have one, and wouldn't tell me why.
Does anyone know of a really good cleaner that is guaranteed to get rid of the stains that I have? It's almost brand new and I want my car looking like it did when I bought it.
Thanks!

Not totally miraculous -- but the best I've found with similar problems in house and car, and inexpensive:
"Zep" commercial (TM) OXY Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner, from Home Depot. A blue plastic spray-bottle. 32 Oz., about $4. Good Luck!

Apr 15, 2007 by Answer Girl | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
HI I have fabric seats, and I have learned my lesson, do NOT get a new car if you have kids. The kids have wreaked havoc on the fabric in my backseats. I am looking for a good fabric cleaner that will get out mud and food stains. ( I do not let them eat in the car usually, but occasionally they sneak something with them. ) anyways, could someone please help? Thanks
i got some good stuff i use on mine.i use (tuff stuff)you can get it at auto zone.

you could take the vehicle to a detailer and they would steam clean the upolstery or you could try to clean it yourself, go to autozone or your choice and get spray foam carpet cleaner and a good stiff bristled brush and go at it.

I have a very light colored interior in my truck and the thing that works best is "ArmorAll Multi-Purpose Cleaner". Follow the directions and it will work wonders.

Best Car Upholstery Cleaner Product?

Want to spank and shine my cloth seats on my 02 Maxima. What is the best product? I want that new car smell! :)
Not specifically a car cleaner, but the best spot cleaning product ever is Spot Shot. It seriously erases stubborn spots. My daughter left a red crayon in my car under her car seat and one day when I was cleaning out the car, I found a lovely red crayon spot. I cleared off the wax and continually used Spot Shot to get the rest off. It does a really great job. For an all over clean, consider a foaming cleaner that can be used with a hard bristled brush or a steam cleaner with a hand attachment. Good luck!
