It seems like there are more important things for the city to do than go after vending machines, Russell Wantz said as he flipped through pictures of his York City car wash business.
Tucked between the pages was the reason Wantz had showed up at a York City Council meeting.
In a letter dated May 2, the city informed Wantz he had 30 days to remove two vending machines enclosed in a three-wall building on his property. One sells soda. The other sells car-wash products.
"My whole facility is vending out there," Wantz told the council. "None of it's on the sidewalk. Why would I receive a letter?"
Wantz was one of six York City business owners who had a lot to say Tuesday about the letters sent to more than 80 property owners this month.
The city is gearing up to enforce a part of its new zoning ordinance, passed last year, that essentially bans outdoor vending machines, said Kevin Schreiber, the city's director of community and economic development.

I am to start my very first small business in China in Car washing industry considering the booming car sales there; however i am not sure what method i should adopt from below upon my limited capital: high pressure steam washing or high pressure water washing
water washing is cheaper, and they wont be up on the benefits of steam. Start out slow.

I live in a country with a population of 13million and there are about 1million cars. we only have ONE Car Wash in our country, (imagine that!!). someone help me how i can open up a car wash, the market is there, anyone interested?
hose, bucket, sponge, soap, car wash brush - a decent price, a couple of members of staff and a sign.

A touchless car wash uses high-pressure water jets instead of regular soap & brushes. It's an automated cleaning solution for people who are extra careful about their cars. But the downside is, it may not be as effective as cleaning with brushes.
You can start a business by having 3-5 bays that cater to both touchless & self-wash systems. That way, you'll be able to service a greater number of drive-ins in the same facility.

The best way is to ask at countryside petrol stations if they don't have a carwash !
I am in Bucks . and we had one at a Shell Garage on a country road roundabout .They had a markee and did a good job , unfortunately the garage closed down and the guys disappeared.I think it is a good idea ,but maybe you try contemplating a " Mobile car wash service " valeting etc. that is what I use now ! Very good !
