Future Generali launches two motor insurance products
Future Generali has launched two new motor insurance products, Future Xpress and Future Xpress+. Addressing presspersons, KG Krishnamoorthy Rao, Managing Director and CEO, said the main objective was to offer customers more personalised service and speedy motor claims settlement. The two plans have been designed after studying value preposition, scope for increasing penetration and market share and incorporating customer focus and effective cost control initiatives
Earlier, segment on quantum of loss was not available and the survey request and document verification was an elaborate and exhaustive process. It was mandatory to have the vehicle surveyed pre and post repairs and the claim settlement typically happened post repairs and the submission of relevant documents to the workshop surveyor. Both the insurer and the insured had very little control on the entire process of confirming the liability post repairs. But Future Xpress and Future Xpress+ simplify the process through segregation of smaller claims that can be treated differently at multiple touch points, Mr. Krishnamoorthy Rao said.
Presentation tells about dangers of sniffing
The program is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Terrebonne General Medical Center’s OutReach Center inside Southland Mall, 5953 W. Park Ave.
The event’s guest speaker is Major Daryl Stewart with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Office’s narcotics division.
According to Stewart, sniffing, or huffing as it is more commonly referred to, isn’t a huge problem locally. However, Stewart said this doesn’t make it any less dangerous.
These products, which can be deadly, contain toxins and can be just as dangerous as alcohol and drugs. Some of the side effects of inhalant abuse can be mentally lasting and can cause brain damage that is irreversible, Steward said.
The National Institute of Drug Abuse reports one in five U.S. teens have used inhalants like hair spray, room fresheners, potpourri and bath salts to get high.
“You see more of a problem with this (sniffing) in larger cities,” the 21-year TPSO veteran said. “What we find here is younger people experimenting with these sort of products. ... The biggest problem you see with these household products is the changes that one person’s brain undergoes will be different than someone else’s. What might not cause any kind of permanent damage to someone after 10 to 20 times of doing it can effect another person severely after just one time of doing it.”
