The 2012 DJ Pauly D, So Fresh & So Clean Celebrity Car, Bike & Concert Super Show will take place on Sunday, Aug 12, at the Rhode Island Convention Center. The show will feature more than 150 custom cars and bikes, including celebrity rides owned by DJ Pauly D and other guests, according to DJ Pauly D and So Fresh & So Clean Hand Car Wash. Johnston native "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio rose to fame as a TV star on "Jersey Shore," which premiered in December 2009 and became MTV's highest rated show. His own MTV spinoff, "The Pauly D Project," a reality show chronicling his life as a celebrity DJ, premiered on March 29, 2012. He appeared at the So Fresh and So Clean car wash in East Providence in April 2011 to pick up his white 2011 Mercedes S550 with a film crew working on the reality show. Shay DiPina founded So Fresh & So Clean in 2006, and it has since become Rhode Island's largest chain of hand car washes with six locations. Last year, he launched Hand Car Wash Franchising.

What is the best hand car wash in the Bay area, CA?

Where is the best hand car wash in the Bay area, CA? I'm looking for both brushless and touchless in the South bay. New car and trying to avoid scratches as long as I can.
1) Ducky's:
Went to "Ducky's" in Menlo Park over the weekend, it's not touchless but certainly brushless. They use long strips of what seem to be shimmy's which appear quite harmless overall on the car.
Have a bunch of options & packages available overall but are a bit on the pricey side.. but my car looked good and felt great seeing how "gentle" it appeared.
If it makes you feel any better, I saw some high end cars going through there that I figured should make you (and I) feel a lot more comfortable.. :)

2) Today (for other car) went to Sunnyvale Car Spa on Lawrence Expressway and is similar to ducky's. However they Handwash completely.. then run it through the carwash (spray & soap.. but no brushes/touching), it was actually quite good, great deal overall and my car looks very nice.
They spend a good amount of time overall on the car.. went 1 package up for $24.95.

There's one in Alameda by the Southshore Center that is very good. $22 for a full job which includes vacuuming inside, scent inside, and a full cleaning.

You can try Classic Car Wash or Marlin's Car Wash. They've both done a good job in the times that I went.

Do-it-yourself is your best bet. You'll save $20 and make sure you get it done by someone who cares about your car. Not only that, but now that the weekend weather is warming up, it's a great way to spend a Saturday.

Lozano's in Sunnyvale is good. They are quick, pretty much always do a decent job, and best of all, they are somehow cheaper than a lot of other car washes, especially if you buy the prepay tickets which they offer at a discount. You can get the basic wash for about $12.

sponges, pressure washer , tyre slick, leathers and if ur going to do valeting aswell then a whole lot more like tar an glue remover,window cleaner, polish , a wet vaccum etc ...

Tomorrow i am planning on going on a hand car wash with me n my mates (knocking on peoples doors and asking if they'd like it washed), we have timed ourselves by washing our parents cars, they are perfected in 10 minutes (also remembering there are 3 of us!) how much do you think we should charge per a car?! in English currency please (:

Anything over that would be pointless because they
can just drive to a local car wash.
I would use very soft towels and soap made for washing
cars bc otherwise I wouldn't let you touch my car.

Depends on what you'll be wearing and what you look like. I'd pay a fat guy $2 bucks to wash my car. A bunch of hot chicks in bikini's I'd pay a lot more for, easy $20... assuming my wife wasn't around.

$10 at the very most. If you go around asking for $20, expect to get nothing. Now if you did more than just wash the outside you could ask for more money. But if you're only washing the outside ask for $10.

I'd probably charge about £3 for a quick wash or £5 for a thorough wash, if you do a good job you might get a tip, so take that into consideration as well... have fun! :P

Many garages offer their hand car wash service from only £4.99. So, what do you get if you only pay that much? Will your car be truly clean?
If you're concerned about value for money wash it yourself. Good quality wash and wax is availble in local poundshops. It takes half an hour.

I hand washed my car for 7 yrs and when I traded it in it wasn't worth anymore than a car that was auto washed. But what downside is there?
no down side except for more work.Dealers look at the book value of a car when it's traded they don't care how it's washed if they have to when they get them in they buff them.
