Players Towel takes The Player Championship for ninth win of year
21.05.12
Players Towel, featuring high performance microfiber waffle technology, continued its domination of professional golf by capturing the "The Fifth Major" at The PLAYERS Championship. "I would like to congratulate the winner of The PLAYERS Championship for earning his fourth career PGA Tour tile in the year's toughest field," said Patrick Le Vine, founder of The Players Towel. "The closing stretch of holes at TPC Sawgrass is as tough and nerve wracking as they come, so being able to have one's equipment and hands dry and clean, while playing under these pressure filled conditions, became critical to good golf." With nine professional victories so far on 2011, The Players Towel continues to be the winningest towel in golf. The microfiber technology of Players Towel allows users to quickly wipe debris and moisture from balls, club faces and grips, leaving a clean and dry surface for more efficient play. "As the professional tours move into the hot, humid part of the schedule, and the weather poses more challenges for players, the Players Towel will continue to be relied on as a valuable piece of equipment for the world's best players and their caddies," added Le Vine.

Are automotive cleaning products good from Target?
Sep 24, 2007 by Jane Y | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I recently bought two large micro fiber towels and a microfiber/chenile wash mitt. I was wondering if these products are good or effective from Target, or should I go return them and acquire some other ones? Then again, do I really need to? (My car = Lexus IS 250)
Thank you for your help.
I use microfiber towels when drying or using a canned cleaner on my car, and found it makes a huge difference over ordinary cloth. The fact they come from Target shouldn't matter, you're just saving money where a specialty store will charge you double or more for the same exact thing.
The wash mitt doesn't sound practical, microfiber wouldn't make a difference while washing with soap & water, and if you use the canned stuff stick to the towels so you can always rotate the working area around. I recommend returning that.

Help??!! I just washed my black car very carefully and now it have swirl marks!?
Dec 17, 2009 by MKR | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I just got this car a two weeks ago and it had virtually no swirl marks in the black paint. It got dirty from a snow storm we had to drive through so I bought new micro fiber towels to wash it. I took it to the coin op and power washed it for at least 15 minutes in an effort to get as much dirt off the car as i could. I then used 10 different new micro fiber towels to wash the car with plenty of water and soap---and now it has swirl marks on many parts of the car. I was trying to be as careful as i could but i guess i wasnt careful enough? Did i make a mistake by using micro fiber towels instead of a micro fiber mit?
1. Cheap microfibers can swirl up paint but it shouldn't be THAT bad. As long as grit and dirt was not in the towels, they should be OK. Still, wash towels before you use them.
2. $10 says the car already had the swirls. They were just hidden. A lot of car dealer and detail shops uses waxes and stuff called "glaze" to shine the paint and hide defects like swirls. Now you have washed off the old crud and there they are. I've detailed 100's of new cars and almost all have some sort of swirl mark damage.
3. The material on a towel is the same as a mitt, so no reason to switch. The mitt holds more solution and can trap more dirt, but the microfiber material is pretty much the same.

My car is 10yrs old and black. The only way to deal with swirl marks is to use a good wax. Swirl marks are just part of having a car.

Never use Microfiber TOWELS! to wash! you use a FOAM SPONGE!!!!!!
Also when drying try to use Chamois or something called THE ABSORBER!

get a professional to clean your car. some do a very good job for very cheap - probably cheaper than it costs you to buy and keep replacing all the equipment - combined with all the worry and stress it's caused you!

How to wash a black sports car with dirt and salt on it?
Dec 12, 2009 by MKR | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
My new black sports car just went through a snow storm. There is tons of dirt and probably salt on it. How should I go about getting off the dirt and salt? I've tried the power washer but there is still a ton of residue remaining. I'm ready to tackle it with Meguiars car washing soap and a lot of micro fiber towels. Is there anything else i should remember. The car is 4 years old but when i picked it up from the dealer it didnt have any swirl marks in the black paint. now i'm worried that when i clean the dirt off it will create swirl marks. does anyone have any tips/suggestions? THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
You have already done the first part by washing all the worst away, get a very soft (shammy-deer skin)
cleaning towel and a mild detergent and that should do the trick. Don't forget at some point in the
future try to wash as much of the under side of the car as well.

Start with warm water with a car cleaner mixed in (there are pressure nozzles that do the mixing) and thoroughly soak the dirt and salt. You want dirty soapy goop, not dirt or salt. Then, using a chamois (a real one if you can find them, artificial ones if you can't) also soaked in the solution, gently wash off the residue, while still applying more water/cleaner solution. If you keep it wet enough, the chamois will never touch the paint, it'll be riding on a film of goop and water. And if you get salt wet enough it'll just dissolve. (Some of the dirt may not dissolve, sit may form that goop, but it'll be soft enough to come off without scratching the paint if you keep it wet and don't press hard.) Lots of work. You can tell who doesn't put out that much effort - by the swirl marks. A water powered rotating brush is so much easier.

My black car got its left rear bumper scratched?
Feb 08, 2009 by ryandalion123 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Hi,
I accidentley backed up into a dodge caravan, and it a plastic bumper.
Just went out and bought turtle compound wax to get rid of the scratches, but it is not working as i expected it to work. I washed the car, and applied the compound wax with a micro fiber towel, and i kept on going back and forth with a good amount of pressure. But in the end, the scratches are still there. And there is one major scratch that has gone through the metal. Also, should i wax the area where i used the scratch remover?Should i go to the body shop, and how much would that cost? I own a '06 infiniti g35.
Thanks!
Any tips on how to take it out without going to the shop would be great!
crap!
should i just leave my bumper like that?
its not that bad.
but, if you look up closely, then you can see it kind of seeit.
But yeah, iuse a rubbing compound, but should i wax the back part?
scratch you crying about a scratch its a old car if is this is your first scratch your lucky just deal

What is wrong with me?
Mar 25, 2009 by Casey | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
So I wash my car once a week but I wipe it down with a wet ruber towel every day and dry it with a micro fiber... why am I so obsessed with how clean my car is. I spend an hour each day cleaning it. I spend two or more hours washing it, waxing it, and taking out the scratches... do I have any type of disorders? am I just too focused on material items?
To Ben . :
ur gay
I was like that with my first car.. only I was probably worse. I pulled the seats out each weekend and steam cleaned the entire interior lol. Still keep my cars clean but I dont obsess about it so much. There is nothing wrong with taking care of your possessions.
