What equipment would I need to start a mobile car wash?

I know that I need rags, brushes, products etc. What I dont know is what do I buy to get the water to wash the cars, like what powers the pressure washer, etc
Most people use a gasoline powered pressure washer. You can get water either from a long hose ran to a nearby building, or you can get one of those large water tanks, usually 90+ gallons. Most people mount the pressure washer and tank combo to a small trailer, or inside a large work van.
Then, like you said your soaps, cleaners, waxes, polishes, chamois, a vacuum, interior carpet cleaner, a brass brush, a ton of rags, etc.
Its all at www.detailking.com

Recently, a business has sprung up offering car wash services to people working in large office complexes.
They come to the site, wash the car by HAND, not necessarily a pressure washer situation. They offer everything from a simple wash to a 'detailing'. They do a good business, and prices are not cheap.
You bring the water with you. You wash and rinse the car carefully, and hand dry it.
Fees are in the range of US$ 35-75 for simple washes, more for detailing.

I guess a well equipped and fitted out Mobile Car Washer. A financial outlay to advertise yourself, and, of course, you have to go through the process of registering yourself as a Business. You can also get signed up with a "Tax Number" that will enable you to purchase future supplies relating to your enterprise, tax- free. Needless to say you will need to charge tax on your services and keep a good set of books for your own tax preparer to work from.

What are the Tools/Equipment that I need to start a Mobile Car Wash?
Mar 26, 2009 by srgtazmania@sbcglobal.net | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I'aint sure if I might need a Generator.Water pump or what??
All you need is a generator, a water tank (it can be any water tank, just keep in mind that the vehicle has to be able to hold the water, and water weighs 8 pounds per gallon. If you have a van I would not get a tank over 100 gallons.) You will need a pressure washer, but if you get a gas pressure washer you can get a smaller generator. The generator is used for running drills (Mothers Power Ball, etc.), and buffers. After that you just need cleaners and stuff like that. Good luck.
