MicroVision Unveils SHOWWX+ HDMI for Mobile Big-Screen Sharing and Visual ...

SHOWWX+ HDMI is the perfect accessory for sharing content on the move thanks to its small size, plug-and-play connectivity and focus-free operation. New quick start capabilities offer immediate startup, and given that advancements in the latest operating systems of devices like RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook and Apple’s iPad 2 enable true display mirroring—users can connect and project everything on their device screens at image sizes greater than 100 inches in a matter of seconds.

Though HDMI is a standard feature for most laptops and computers, it is a relatively new addition to smartphones and tablets. Adding HDMI connectivity to the SHOWWX line of projectors will extend the family of host devices compatible with MicroVision’s display—delivering a larger, more vivid, focus-free viewing experience to an extended range of mobile devices once the HDMI standard is broadly adopted.

“We are giving road warriors the ability to share digital content in a compelling manner, from the palms of their hands,” said Alexander Tokman, president and CEO of MicroVision. “Extending our connectivity expands our device ecosystem. Now even more mobile device users can break free from huddling around their palm or pad-sized screens to enjoy a bigger and more immersive viewing experience anywhere, at work or play.”

Cosmetic tattooing gives new meaning to the idea of long-lasting makeup

Skin ink long ago went beyond the words “love” and “mom” printed on a bicep. Permanent makeup — which also goes by the more technical-sounding names of derma-pigmentation, cosmetic micro-pigmentation and cosmetic tattooing — is hardly a new trend. Some sources say ancient Egyptians had face and body tattoos, with inks proving truly permanent when they showed up centuries later on well-preserved mummies.

Fast forward a few centuries, and an ad from the January 1933 “Modern Mechanix” magazine proclaimed “Lip tattooing is the latest fad.” “Make-up guaranteed to be kiss-proof,” the ad touted.

In the early 1980s, an ophthalmologist began using tattooing to permanently pencil in the look of fuller eyelashes and brows in patients with Alopecia, a medical hair-loss condition. Today, it’s used to mask scars and on patients who suffer from cancer, allergies, poor eyesight and arthritis, among other conditions that can make applying one’s own makeup difficult.

Touch free car wash?

So i went into a 24/7 touchfree car wash and i tuned to the radio station it told me to. When i went inside i followed the steps and when i reach where there should be a sign with lights telling me to go and stop but the sign thing wasnt even on!! and i sat there for a good 1 hr and nothing happen and i lost 9 bucks!! The thing was called Markquart 24/7 touch free wash and i totally got my money stolen!!!

So....what's your question?

You probably need to call the number and at least have them give you your money back. that totally sucks!

are touch free car washes better then regular cloth car washes?

the touch free is supposed to be better because they wont scratch the paint. but do the touch free washes clean just as good?

Touch free uses high pressure, usually hot, streams of water. On one hand it does reduce scratching, but it can also blast away protective waxes over your paints. On the same token if you have sand on the paint, or embedded in the wax, it can actually sandblast your car (on a very small scale). A loving hand wash is always the best way to go, and safest.

Are touch car washes bad?

I have a new Porsche and I was told at the dealership that I should only get touch-free washes. So I took my car to a Danny's Carousel in the best part of North Scottsdale (thinking the washes there would be gentler and more thorough...there was a Bentley getting washed there after all) for my car's first wash. So there I am, waiting for my car, and I look over and notice that there are big machines with spinning rags spraying soapy water on the cars going through...it wasn't touch-free! Well it came out looking quite nice (I got the wax, too) so I'm not upset. But should I still take it there for washes? I don't want to make lines in my paint. ALSO, I will be getting "Zag-Tek" clear coat (it's a layer of thin clear final paint) applied to my car every 6 months. Will this cover-up any lines/marks in the pain the automatic washing machine makes? AND, is the wax okay, or does it cake on any dirt or dust that is left unwashed?
Zag-Tek is a protective clear coat that is applied by the dealership itself. That's a separate deal. I was wondering if it would protect my Porsche from touch washes. I agree though, I should just wash it myself (even though it's like 120 in AZ, where I live) and hopefully the one time through the wash didn't do any sort of damage.

You have a really nice car, the best way to protect it is to get informed on paint care by a site like autogeek or visit a reputable detailer who looks after high end cars. I would stay away from dealer applied paint treatments, my local Mercedes dealership ruined so many new cars by letting an untrained technician with a rotary buffer apply these treatments. These treatments are nothing more than a polymer wax coating, its not paint if it has to be reapplied every 6 months. You can apply a polymer wax at a fraction of the cost and without the risk of swirling your paint. A good detailer can do it as well, insist on hand application, on a new vehicle you dont need a power buffer applied treatment.
I would stay away from brush type car washes, once or twice will not hurt but regular use will hurt the paint.

Remove and prevent swirl marks on black car?

I brought a new mazda 3 sedan in black at the start of june. The problem is the dealership washed it before i got it home, as well as when the serviced it and have created a few swirl marks. The paint is metalic and still very shiny when washed, but the swirls drive me crazy in the sun! it also has a few light scratches here and there. I have not been taking it to the touch free car wash, this one dries it really well so their is no need to chamois it, which is better because i found that because i live in a dusty area by the time id wash it dust would settle on it and when id chamois it the dust would make swirls. I want to take it into a pro body repair centre to get a cut and polish on it, but i want to be able to prevent future swirl marks after i do this. If i wash it at the touch free and dont rub anything on the paint should it be ok? Also if the cut and polish is done right it shouldent dull the paint at all should it?
sorry, i HAVE been taking it to a touch free car wash is what i meant to say :)

Also, should i bother putting paint protection on it after polishing it. The dealership offered me the "elements protection kit" when i brought it but it was $1700 for inside and out and i couldent afford it

yeah its down to washing ya car with dirt on it it should realy be hosed down with a hose 2 get rid of excess dirt then washed i preffer doing it by hand. you can get the car machine polished 2 get rid ov the swirl marks! and as 4 a polish try Auto Glym Super Resin Polish
