Kansas City police on Friday released a composite sketch of a man who attacked a woman at a Waldo car wash Sunday.

Police are investigating whether the attack was connected to the sexual assault of a woman along the Trolley Track Trail in June.

The recent victim, a 20-year-old woman, was preparing to vacuum her vehicle just after 6 a.m. Sunday when a man suddenly appeared and pushed her into the passenger seat. He grabbed her neck and slammed her face against the dashboard, according to police.

The man held a knife to her neck and threatened to kill her. He used duct tape to bind her and cover her mouth. The woman eventually broke free and fought him off. He took $45 from her purse and fled.

Police said the attacker wore a black ski mask, a black shirt and black pants. His mask came off during the struggle with the victim.

The victim worked with a forensic sketch artist, who produced a composite sketch, which police said was not a portrait of one person, but a group of characteristics to narrow the search.

The attacker was described as a white man, about 5 foot 8 and 150 to 160 pounds. He had brown hair and appeared to be about 24 years old, police said. Anyone with information should call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477). A reward is available for anonymous information.

The car wash is one block from the trolley trail. Police were investigating possible connections to the unsolved assault of a woman in her 50s at 5:45 a.m. June 16 near 85th and Main streets along the trail. That assailant also used a knife, attacked early in the morning and wore a mask and black clothing.
DENVER - The City of Denver's Public Works Department is investigating after photos surfaced of a city vehicle at a strip club's car wash surrounded by bikini-clad women and shirtless men who appear to be city workers.
Photos sent to the 9Wants to Know investigators Friday afternoon show a city truck parked outside the Diamond Cabaret in downtown Denver. Women in bikinis are perched on the hood of the truck and others are standing nearby. In one photo, a shirtless man in work pants and boots poses for a photo in front of the truck. Another shirtless man is seen in another photo outside the strip club.
"They were quite enjoying themselves," the viewer told 9Wants to Know. "We don't need one and certainly not two paving trucks sitting there."
The viewer who took the photographs said the shirtless men returned to two marked city vehicles after at least 20 minutes outside the strip club around 2 p.m. on Friday.
Public Works spokeswoman Daelene Mix said the city was aware of the photos and handling the situation.

I want to start my own car wash abroad.
The problem is i don't have accesses to a lot of water is there any way i can wash the cars with out using that much water any ideas would help thanks.
I live in the states and i travel back and forth to my country.
Like a mobile car washer?
Many of the use pressure washers, they don't use much water and help clean the vehicle faster.

Most car washes here in the States recycle their water, so you basically get the dirty water from the car in front of yours. That would be the best way. Also use a pressure washer , they use much less water. Personally I hand wash all of my clients cars with fresh water or for $200 I'll do a Perrier Wash!

How Do I Put Together A Promotional Car Wash?
Dec 20, 2009 by | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
I'm trying to put together a promotional car wash for my dance team. We'd wash cars, of course, and perform a few dances here and there to showcase our team. What I need to know is how old does the facilitator/supervisor have to be, would the place that's letting us host the car wash in their parking lot ask for some of the proceeds, how long should a car wash be, and how much should we ask for???? Any help is REALLY appreciated! Thank you!
Do a bit of research and see what other car washes in your area charge. Ask the place that's letting you host it to find out about the share of the proceeds - this probably should have been asked before settling on there to host it. I would the car wash over two days - gives you more chance to be noticed.

Dec 08, 2008 by dynastywarrior | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
I wnat to wash the car but afraid to becasue I don't know what to do
Pull up, pay them, roll your windows up and keep your car in neutral and don't push the brake pedal, completely through the "Car Machine" (I love that term) until you see a green light at the other end.
My favorite machine :)

If it's attended, they will do it all for you. If it's self service, just read the instructions posted.

If you are using a car wash where you wash the car yourself, put money into the slots of the coin box on the side. Press the kind of wash you want. Pick up the long stick with the handle and press the lever on the handle. Soapy water will come out, followed by clear water to rinse and liquid wax if you pressed the wash/wax button on the coin machine. You can walk around your car with the attached hose/wash jet to wash/rinse your car. If your car is extra dirty, choose Pre-wash first and use the Brush at the wash which will give you lots of soap to scrub your car first.

You can get a help from the worker. He can tell you how to wash your car. If you still afraid, you can let the worker drive the car
Can i wash car upon truck delivery before i sign a condition report agreement?
Feb 20, 2010 by Artur S | Posted in Buying & Selling
I am receiving car soon,it is brand new but on open carrier. it will be very dirty and i am sure there is no way to check for damage, unless i wash it and inspect. Can i ask a truck driver give me 10-15 minutes to go rinse a car and inspect it after that? And only after that sign that i won't have any claims in future about condition.
I bought it from the dealer out of state and they are shipping it to me. So car will arrive drity from 2200 miles trip
