"Thanks for the call," said Velenski. "It's kind of a worry to have your personal electronics out there with all of your addresses and contact information." After hearing from 7NEWS, Velenski agreed to meet us at the pawn shop to find out when it was pawned and by whom. Velenski showed his driver's license to compare to the home address saved on the GPS. They were a match. "You have to have an affidavit for everything that comes in here, correct?" 7NEWS reporter Marshall Zelinger asked a manager. "Yup," said David, the manager. "Can you show us who brought that GPS unit in?" asked Zelinger. "I can't because it's against the rules," said David. "You have to contact the Denver Police Department." Cuthbertson then agreed to meet with 24-year-old Kyle Ramalho at the Dunkin Donuts on Candia Road in Manchester to “purchase” his GPS. When the man recognized the GPS as the one that was stolen by matching up the serial numbers, he confronted Ramalho about it.
“The suspect immediately put his car into reverse and tried to back out of the parking lot area, nearly caught the victim and almost knocked him down,” said Lt. Maureen Tessier of the Manchester, New Hampshire Police Department.
“He hit me with the door. I started to fall down, grabbed the door handle…didn’t want to get run over,” said Cuthbertson.
Cuthbertson was then able to jump into Ramalho’s car and after a brief struggle, shift the car into park. He managed to restrain the suspect until police arrived.
“I said, ‘You’re going to jail dummy,’” said Cuthbertson.
Police found a number of other stolen items in Ramalho’s car, including the victim’s DVD player.

craigslist car sale question?
Apr 16, 2010 by Bryan | Posted in Buying & Selling
I have a question its weird things I ever had...I posted my car in craigslist.org for sale $400 on my 93 honda due to timing belt broken. I live in Tallahassee, and someone called me that he is on way to pick up my car and I told him $400 cash only and he said no problem and he is on way now from MIAMI...I was like ok. Then other ring on my cell...he said he will be there 1:30am late night to pick up car. I am start to feeling like he is doing a drama playing or he is really serious coming to get the car? or he is coming to rob me? 1:30 late morning from Miami to Tallahassee. Few minute ago and there was other different number called me but same man with same voice said what is exit off I-10 because he said his GPS dont show him correct where I live. What am I going to do? and it is scam or a drama playing?
What could the scam be ?
Is he going to steal your $400 car ?
LOL
Don't sweat it. If he shows up with the money at a reasonable hour sell it to him.
If he doesn't have money, wants to pay by check or something tell him to take a hike.
And if you don't want him coming at 2 am, say "you cant come at 2am".

call him back and tell him to hit a place to rest untl morning, the daylight is a better plan, if he is coming with the 400 fine, I hope he know it did not run, but for four hundred bucks, thats not a lot of money, do you want to sell the car?

I would not meet anyone at 1:30 am from a craigslist ad. Good chance he is coming to beat you over the head and rob you.

When ever you plan to post something online make sure not to give your home address instead ask them to meet you some were like a gas station or even a shopping place were there is public and do it during the day not the night as you don't know who you are dealing with..

It needs to work in the US and Canada.
Is there any particular stores that are having sales on them or has them cheaper on a regular basis?

Car Price Question - 2006 BMW X3 3.0 Auto 6 cyl?
Aug 16, 2009 by Reed | Posted in BMW
I have done some research and come up with mixed results. I really like this car and would like to upgrade, I currently have an 2002 Lexus IS250.
I want this car for 15,000 dollars point blank. Weather it exist for that price, that is where you guys come into play. I have found this car (the BMW) anywhere from 12-30k, but what is realistic and what is to-good-to-be-true?
I don't care about GPS screens, just basics. good condition, no damage, in good internal order, aesthetically pleasing on the inside, not "perfect" of course, but good; clean. color is not a big deal. not anything flashy I like white, gray and black the best, inside color doesn't matter.
I just want to know if am setting myself up for a letdown thinking i can get this vehicle for 15,000 dollars or roundabout. I really want a 2006, 2005 would be OK, but I wold want a significant price drop. I would be more willing to go up a grand for the 06 that go down a grand for an 05.
Links to specific cars/sales would be great, let me know if you want more info, ill add detail upon request.
btw, i really dont do well with auctions, im just not one of those people.
thanks for the help guys.
KBB says that if in excellent condition, the suggested retail price for a 06 X3 with 100k miles on it is 16,465. The private party price will be a bit lower, but you are going to either a car with a ton of miles, a repo, or a car with frame damage.
