It’s a good idea to always pick the fastest car of the group first when rain is in the forecast because the Corvette Z06 with the Z07 package which includes Michelin PS Cup Tires, they are best utilized in dry weather. This Track Star is equipped with the Magnetic Ride Control, the aforementioned street legal racing tires with a wear rating of 80 and Brembo® 4-wheel ventilated, cross-drilled carbon ceramic matrix rotors with 6-piston front calipers and 4-piston rear calipers with Bosch ABS.
What does all this jargon mean? It means you take a Z06, make it sinister black in color, add the suspension and brakes from the ZR1 and unleash it on public streets. Then get in trouble while lapping at Laguna Seca because the factory exhaust exceeds the mandated 92db sound level mandated during non-major events.
It’s furiously fast. Dropping it into second gear on the highway at roughly 60mph does great things to your mood and evokes peals of laughter which turn into expletives when you rush through 3rd gear going faster than is prudent. The soundtrack is awesome. Why bother changing out a titanium exhaust anyway? Remember, virtually every magazine has had the Z06 trapping 125mph in the quarter mile for years and under ideal conditions, owners have trapped 128-129mph.
They are noticeably lighter than the stock cup discs, so about 5lbs a corner over the oem GT3 discs maybe. ive never actually weighed them. GT car fitment (well fronts), you cant run the rears on the road car setup without doing some work. you would need to remove all the handbrake stuff and also permanently modify the wheel carrier itself to allow them to fit on. the 5 holes on the hat are also a larger diameter than those on the street discs to allow them to fit on the centrelock hubs. this wouldnt be an issue since folk run the stock cup discs on street cars for track days (and these also have larger holes) just fine.
im sure all the differences between the PFC, alcon and brembo GT rotors have been done to death. Depending on which PFC you choose you may not have a true floating rotor design, just a 2 piece and can get tricky when you want to use a non PFC pad. the alcons and the brembo GTs are pretty close to each other. in terms of outright performance it seems like

how do i know if these rotors are brembo?
Mar 12, 2009 by SeR | Posted in Honda
theres a garage sale down the street and there are a pair of both drilled and slotted rotors, there in a brembo box but i never heard of drilled and slotted rotors for del sol by brembo. have you? how do i make sure these are brembo?
http://www.brembo.com/US/Performance/SportRotors/
Brembo rotors are usually drilled OR slotted, not both. here's a link to their website that has a picture ofthe to rotors and the packaging.
i guess you could have original Brembo slotted rotors drilled by someone else but why? seems like too much trouble to go through.
the rotors may have been taken off and put in the box that the replacement Brembo rotors came in.
they don't sound original to me.
there is a customer support number at the end of that webpage; call and ask them if you still think they may be genuine
hope that helps

I had some Brembo drilled and slotted on my Accord.
But the seller did those holes. He bought plain ones from Brembo and drilled those holes.

There are ALOT of companies making tons of money by doing a simple thing. Take a look at Brembo plain jane rotors, and look at their slotted/drilled rotors. See the huge price difference? Well these companies are buying the cheaper plain rotors and drilling the holes themselves and selling them at higher prices. While this may sound OK, its not. THe rotors have TOTALLY different vein structures inside to compensate for the holes adding strength and reliability. The easiest thing to do is look at the 6 digit number on the rotor itself as Brembo stamps all their rotors with the part numbers. Go to their website and see if it matches.

Do Brembo do drilled/slotted OEM replacement rotors for the infiniti FX35?
Aug 17, 2007 by Mr "H" | Posted in Infiniti
Hello guys,
Do Brembo do OEM drilled/Slotted replacement rotors for the FX and where can I get them from?
Also are the stillen Rotors a good brake upgrade or are there other better cross drilled/slotted rotors out there.
Looking forward to ur opinions and suggestions..Cheers
I'll agree that drilled/slotted rotors might not be absolutely necessary on an FX, but then again, perhaps you're doing some canyon-carving or heavy driving.
In that case, actual Brembo branded replacements MAY get expensive, and Stillen sells re-branded stuff (with a healthy markup).
I'd recommend having a look in two places:

Infiniti FX discussion forum: http://forums.nicoclub.com/zeroforum?id=212
Good luck!

waste of money
why do people think that drilling holes in rotors WITHOUT the vents that race cars HAVE will make there car stop better?
man_with_koolaid_smile | Aug 17, 2007
Yes - for the front only.
See the Brembo website

They do but it's a lot of money for no or little increase in braking power.

On a truck like that, I would save your money. You won't be getting anything but a headache out of drilled rotors. I've never had a set that didn't crack on me.
Your mileage may vary, but not many people I know have had any luck with theirs either.
Good luck!

Which branded Brake Rotor is the best choice for my Infiniti FX35?
Jul 27, 2007 by Mr "H" | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Hello guys,
As I have new 22inch wheels for my Infiniti Fx35, I would like to know what
the best choice is for new Brake Rotors as mine are nearly gone. Also can I use the same OEM size with 22inch wheels or do I have to upgrade to bigger rotors(380mm) Brands and websites to the rotors would be appreciated. Do Brembo do a brake rotor replacement for the FX?
Thanx buddies.
You can't use larger rotors......Not without replaceing a whole bunch of other stuff.
Go with dealer OEM equipment.

Need BMW 323i Rear rotor part number and size?
Sep 05, 2006 by viz_ard | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I am planning to buy a set of rear rotors (OEM) for BMW 323i Sport Pkg (Yr 2000).
I know the brand of rotors is Brembo and the part number is 34211165563, but I need to confirm the size.
One website says "Vented 294x19mm" - can anyone tell me if
that is the correct size? There are others out ther with size 276x19mm so I am confused.
Brembo part number 34211165563 is a 294 X 19 mm rotor and was the standard BMW 323i rotor. A new one costs $38.
Brembo part number 34211165211 is a 276 X 19 mm, cross drilled, vented rotor (it has small holes drilled through it).
Either rotor would work fine with the brake calipers on your BMW, but don't have a cross drilled rotor on one side and a solid rotor on the other.

go to your local automotive part shop, and tell them you have a BMW 323i 2000, and they should give you all the advice you need, and the right part to buy if you want it, it doesnt hurt to ask, then go buy it online, but usaully the auto part shop is half the price of an mechanics price, do it yourself, there bored and like to help and sound smart.

brembo rotors?

how would you tell the genuine Brembo rotors from replicas?
I put Brembos on my 300RX and on the front rotors, between the two discs "Brembo" is written in the casting.
Also, something unique to Brembo is little circular depression in the disk itself. It is a wear indicator, when it disappears through wears you will soon need brakes.
