"The wind accidentally put the tire shine foam on disc brake( rotor) of my 05Honda accordEx.Is that OK?

Yesterday the winds were 25-30 and i applied tire shine foam on all the tires, but on couple of tires this foam landed on rotor(disc brake) so will this cause any problem with braking.I mean I feel the brakes are falling little sudden. Will tire foam makes the the brakes slips please answer me.I tried my best to wipe off with dry cloth but still its kinda slimy.thanks in advance
No, once you hit the brakes a couple times that will come off, that happens to me all the time, just drive it around the block to get it off.

You'll be ok
loonatic72 | Feb 08, 2008
no problem..just drive it and apply brakes
it will be gone..
buda | Feb 08, 2008
no, the brakes will immediately burn off any residue
Andy B | Feb 08, 2008
if you are really worried you can spray some brake cleaner on it but it should wear off
turkus07 | Feb 08, 2008
You will be okay. Tire shine is the nastiest in world. I suggest never using it. It sprays all over the cars paint when driving(which is very bad for the paint). Also, it is not good to always get on the parts as here. I suggest getting something they call Bleche-White. It is a blackwall and whitewall cleaner. It cleans the tire real well. And turns it back to the original black which still has a natural shine. Looks alot better and cleaner.

brakes will be fine as the pads will wear that shine stuff off in less than a mile.

how do you remove rear disc brake rotor on 04 chevy express 2500?
Apr 24, 2008 by Jerry D | Posted in Chevrolet
i've got the caliper and brake pad bracket off .I thought the rotor would slide off.
they rust up from lack of use I normally drive a short distance with the parking brake on to break up the rust since you can't do that you will have to use a slide hammer with hook to get it off. (plan on replacing hardware for park brake shoe)

How to change a rear disc brake rotor of my 2003 F-150 2wd?
Dec 05, 2007 by dennis m | Posted in Ford
Do i need to use special tools to pull the rotor from the hub?I was able to change the front rotors .
Nope, simply remove the two 10mm bolts that secure the caliper with the pads to the backing plate, and move out of the way. Once out of the way, knock the rotor off with a hammer. Hope this helps.
Ford Goddess | Dec 05, 2007
nope no special tools are required.

You are going to need to back off on the hand brake adjuster when putting it back together.
You will also need to reload (adjust) the hand brake when done.
Do not use force, get the manual, or check out the autozone site as they may have the instructions you need.

will be about the same shouldnt need any more tools

Need to remove rear disc brake rotor for 2002 Chevy Suburban?
Aug 18, 2009 by diana r | Posted in Chevrolet
Do I remove the 2 18mm bolts that hold the bracket for disc caliper?
Yes you have to remove the caliper and the braket to get the rotor off. If you take those 2 bolts out it should all come out at once then the rotor will just slide right off.
