* Yest kasaniya! At 10:36am, Progress M-15M/47P (#415) docked successfully to the DC1 (Docking Compartment) nadir port under precise automatic Kurs control. [Kurs antenna retraction was nominal. Kasaniya (contact) was followed by a final DPO post-contact thrusting burn, docking probe retraction and sborka (hook closure) after motion damp-out while the ISS was in free drift for 20 min. At "hooks closed" signal, RS (Russian Segment) MCS returned to active attitude control, maneuvering the ISS to LVLH TEA (local vertical/local horizontal Torque Equilibrium Attitude). Attitude control authority had been handed over to Russian MCS (Motion Control System); it returned to US Momentum Management later. Next came the standard 1-hr leak checking, opening of the hatches between DC1 & SU vestibule and SU & Progress and installation of the BZV screw clamps, followed by the standard air sampling inside Progress with the Russian AK-1M air sampler, then powering down the spacecraft and installation of
How Your Air Filters Could Be Making Your Allergies Worse
21.05.12
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) April 17, 2012
If you are purchasing your air filters from your local home improvement store, you could be making your allergies worse! Experts contend that we are experiencing one of the most dangerous allergy seasons in decades for those who suffer from allergies and asthma. Choosing the best air filter for your home protects your family from pollen and pet dander that can trigger intense symptoms for allergy sufferers. The fiberglass air filters sold in home improvement stores are usually rated at a less than 7 MERV rating. MERV is a rating used in the air filtration industry to measure the ability of an air filter to reduce small particles like dust, pollen and dander in the air. MERV is an acronym that stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. The higher the rating, the smaller the particles the filter removes from your indoor air.
“Many people suffer from allergies and do not realize that they can take control of their indoor air quality by using a high efficiency air filter. MERV 13 air filters are the highest recommended air filtration level for most residential applications. It is especially important that allergy sufferers have at least a MERV 8 filter. In fact, at FiltersFast.com, we don’t even sell filters with less than a MERV 8 rating!” says Cartier King, Filtersfast.com Air Filtration Specialist certified by the National Air Filtration Association.

What are the differences between a panel air filter and a cone air filter? Which type would suit my car?
Mar 27, 2008 by wufuwufu1234 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
My car is a polo 1.4 CL
Also which brand is better?K & N or Kudos?
Be warned an induction kit greatly increases fuel consumption and without proper cold air feed can actually give worse performance.

Its mostly a matter of what you have room for in the engine bay that will determine whether to use one or the other types.
I've always found K&N to be the best high performance air filter.

A panel air filter is a flat, square or rectangular shaped filter and a cone air filter is cone shaped. I agree with the previous answer about it depending on what kind of room you have as far as what to use. I'm not familiar with Kudos, but I do know K&N is a great product.

panel filters are retangular, and usually fit in the standard air box as a replacement. cone filters are cone shaped as teh name suggests and replce the filter box.
The main problem will be air flow, all you are doing by uprating the filter panel or con, is alowing more air into the engine, and as a result requiring more fuel.
the engine will need slight adjustment to utilise the extra fuel and air. an increase in performance wil be seen and fuel economy is likely to be reduced.
always use K&N. They offer a 100,000mile warranty . but they do need cleaning, and re oiling every now and then. Never heard of Kudos.

Keep it in standard condition.
An air filter is also a silencer to stop the racket that a K&N filter allows.
They only sound like the car is more powerful and actually reduce power.
The manufacturers design the engine to have a ballance between air coming in and the gases going out and there is no quick fix to get more power without spending lots of dosh.

Don`t bother, you will get little if any gains from either filters on
a 1.4 litre engine.I run a 1.8 with 158 bhp as standard and i have a panel filter from bmc which gives me just 2 bhp more
than the standard one.It gives a nice induction roar if you like
that sort of thing and the performance is a little better than
standard but no great gains really and it cost me £30.00.

Best panel Air filter for price?
Sep 06, 2008 by Razor- | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Im Wanting to get a less restrictive panel filter for my commodore,
I amway thought K&N Was the go bt i was resently told that there not worth the money and that you can get the same for cheaper..
What are peoples opinions on this?
I have had excellent results with K&N, plus they're actually economical, mine will have paid for itself in 3 years by not having to buy replacement filter, not to mention improved mileage and performance
Kevin M | Sep 06, 2008
the k&n ones are meant to last forever- i don't know of any cheaper ones that would be of comparable quality.

Is it possible to clean the air filter that came with the car.
Its just im a bit short on money (only 16) and its need replacing but is it possible just to clean it (Temporary)?
You don't clean them, you replace them. They run around $10.
Maintenance is also simple and tool-free: the dual lamps can be removed via a rear panel and the air filter cover simply clips off for easy replacement of
