Highway 6 is open to traffic. The highway was re-opened about 12:30 a.m.

Officials with the state and county have set-up a road block at Baltimore and Route 6 to inform drivers about the hazmat situation.

Adair County Sheriff Robert Hardwick informed KTVO that the fuel in the tanker truck was high octane gasoline. The hazmat team from Olathe, Kansas should be on the scene within the hour.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released some preliminary information regarding the tanker crash that took place east of Kirksville Sunday.
According to the department, just after 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning, a 8,000 gallon fuel tanker was involved in an accident that closed down Route 6 between Kirksville and Brashear.

For the most part, I agree with this article. I do, however, have some reservations. Even if wearing this particular kind of clothing is a personal choice made by Ms. Sunnati, some issues remain. First, for many women these types of garments ARE symbols of oppression. In this respect, it would be similar to flying a Confederate flag. While it might be a positive symbol for those using it, it���s a deeply offensive symbol of repression to others. Second, the face covering makes identification more difficult. This can be anything from inconvenient and even dangerous depending on the situation. If the wearers of such clothing are willing to show their faces when ID is required, than there is no problem. And third, this is an example of religion teaching us that our bodies are something to be ashamed of. Christianity has it too. Our society is willing to see violence and gore on television, but if someone dares expose a female nipple, the FCC has a fit and citizens groups call
