there is a transformer that puts out the correct amps for the bulb so when ordering replacement bulbs keep this in mind.

Are the 6000k, 7000 or 8000k?
I have a 03 CTS if I just change the entire headlights to the HID version what K would those be?
i am in the same boat with my 2000 dhs/deville i dont think you can just add a new bulb its not that simple! You need a ballast and a bulb. if you car came with HID/Xenon then yeah its a bulb if it didn't come with HID then i suggest getting replacement parts for a Cadillac cts 2004 hid ballast and bulbs it will be over 500 bucks for both sides my advice so far is not to get an after market HID conversion kit is to wait untill you find one that is alignment to your car if not they are dangerous for other drivers on the road they will see scatered light look at you tube and check out the truth about hid kits that you buy for like 100 or 200 bucks. hope this helps its a cadillac its worth getting the 500 HID factory set up i am going to try and fit a 2006 hit deville part in my older 2000 deville its over 500 bucks the right way. i may be wrong there may be a good kit out there.

The color temperature of HID lighting more closely approximates the color temperature of natural daylight than does a halogen system, which appears yellowish in comparison. We use the term "correlated color temperature" to indicate that the light appears as if the discharge lamp is operating at a given color temperature-- traditional measurements of color temperature are drawn from the properties of the metal used in the bulb's filament. Typical color temperatures are 2800K (incandescent), 3000K (halogen), 4100K (cool white or SP41 fluorescent), and 5000K (daylight-simulating fluorescent colors). Both of the Halcyon HID lights produce a light with a color temperature approaching or above 5000K. A white light has a perceived brightness which may equate to the higher stated efficacies-- ie., although an HID lamp might have equivilant lumens as a higher wattage halogen bulb, the HID will appear brighter and more pleasing to the eye than the output of a halogen lamp.

Which Xenon HID lights give the best visibility?

I'm trying to convert to Xenon but I'm not sure which lights will give me the best visibility. Does visibility increase with the raise in temperature? Does 20000K shine better than 8000K? Or it doesn't matter at all and just the color is different?
If you want true HID's you need to incorporate ballasts and possibly redo the electrical in your car. 8000K is the brightest.

I have read the manual and it requires a H11 55w halogen bulb. If i replace that bulb with a H11 pure white xenon bulb will that work?
Save your money, tests show the aftermarket "upgrade" bulbs do little if nothing. If they were that good, and relatively cheap, the manufacturers would use them.

None of the Accords have ever offered xenon/HID headlights as an option. The 2008 Accord Coupe comes standard with projector beam headlights, but they aren't HID.
