Opel Adam spy shots
Opels are not bad cars, I can think of many more, perhaps the rubbish that Holden, a sister company sells. They had to get rid of the Daewoo name as it was a cheap and cheerful brand; evidently those cheap nasty cars are now Holden’s.
I have owned several Opel cars and I have had nothing but good things to say. My current Opel is hitting 160,000 km without a single mechanical problem. Last week I replaced the battery, a battery that lasted 7 years, so a car with these kilometers and without a mechanical hitch, can not be classified as “a piece of solid waste from your bowel”. Evidently, my previous cars, a VW Golf, was absolutely rubbish, and the two Mazda cars I owned overheated all the time, and the build quality was questionable.
At the end of the day, all cars have problems, regardless of whether you pay $15,000 or $215,000, so for those who bag Opel, I suggest you buy a bicycle, as the current cars you drive will fail you at some stage of their life. If you are looking for a car that has NO problems, you will be looking forever! Get over it!
