PIAA VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT: WA girls sail through pool

YORK, Pa. -- The West Allegheny High School girls volleyball team turned in its best performance of the season Friday night and it couldn't have come at a better time. The Indians advanced to the PIAA Class AA semifinals at Central York High School.

"It was an amazing day," West Allegheny coach Brian Begor said. "We played lights out all day."

West Allegheny, the third-place finisher from the WPIAL, played three matches in the quarterfinal round robin and won eight of a possible nine games to finish first in Pool A.

"We did not play well in the WPIAL playoffs and in the first round of the state playoffs," Begor said. "So I didn't really know what to expect. We came out against Susquehannock and hit the ground running and never looked back."

The Indians will face District 3 runner-up Brandywine Heights in this morning's semifinals. The winner will face District 11 champion Southern Lehigh or District 3 champion Susquehannock in the championship match.

Conestoga advances to state soccer final | Philadelphia Inquirer | 2011-11-16

The Pioneers (23-0-1) will make their first appearance in the state final since winning it in 1988 when they face District 7 champion Upper St. Clair at 5 p.m. Saturday in Hershey.

North's Derek Antonini gave the Indians a lead by flicking a header past Fox in the eighth minute. Connors got the equalizer in the 28th minute, driving the ball on the ground inside the far post.

On Nov. 5, Conestoga rallied from a goal down to top the Indians, 2-1, in the District 1 championship game on the same Harriton turf.

Ranked in the nation's top 50 for the vast majority of the season - this week at a season high of No. 6 in the ESPN poll - the Pioneers, ranked No. 1 in Southeastern Pennsylvania by The Inquirer, have not lost since falling in the 2010 state quarterfinals to Central Dauphin on Nov. 13 of last year.

The lone blemish on their record came in a scoreless draw with Friends Schools League champion Shipley on Oct. 22.

Conestoga displayed resolve throughout the game, weathering a flurry of corner attempts by North before earning its first corner chance of the game just before the end of regulation.

2005 Ford F250 Piaa Lights

This is my 2005 F250 The stock headlight Bulbs were horrible so I replaced them with PIAA light bulbs

i put in a set of 3157 PIAA Hyper white bulbs in my Chevy daytime running lamps socket and one blew out.?

its a 2007 silverado , i replaced the stock DRL bulbs with some PIAA bulbs and one blew out but the other works fine... was this a defective bulb? or not the right replacement size?

Those are correct for your application, they will work. Bulb was probably defective..

http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H4.html

this will hapen if you touch the light bulb. you grease fingers
made the bulb overheat.

it was either a crappy bulb or maybe you accidentally touch the glass before installing it you can not get fingerprints on them sounds crazy but it's the truth or you didn't quite have the bulb in place right i've seen that one a million times common mistakes that people just don't realize sometimes

they will blow out if you touched the bulb with your finger tips ,the oil from your skin gets on the bulb, and causes this to happen, you may have just got a bad bulb, but then again also you might have touched the bulb, and if you did that can make it blow out like that, also, they might replace this for you ,usually they have some kind of warranty on them, good luck with it.

When you install them be sure not to touch the bulb itself it will ruin them.If you do accidentally touch them clean them with alchohol.

i was thinking it might be for the switch as well
but then shouldn't it be two wireS?
sorry mate sounds like a tough one

You have a relay wiring kit right? The power for the relay should be kept in the engine compartment.
Anyways the power for the switch can be connected as follows:
Locate you fuse block located inside the cab. Under dash left side maybe (I have a '98 F150, not sure of changes)
Next find an empty slot that is not in use (no fuse in place). You have to make the connection with a female flat 1/4" connector to male connector located on the back of the fuse block. I may be wrong on the type of connector, but you will see how it is connected when you locate it.
You can locate the headlight circuit if you want them to shut off with the headlights. Remember you need to use a relay so it won't overload the headlight circuit because you're putting on some heafty lights on it.
Sorry I am in a rush right now but hope this helps.
I'll check back later to see if any better answers come in, and add more if needed.
Good luck man.

If you want to turn them on manually find an accessory outlet on your fuse box with voltage (if you want them to go off with the key then find an accessory outlet that is only powered with the key on). Run a wire from that terminal through an in-line fuse to the back of the switch and connect to the bottom terminal on the switch. Mount your lights. There will be a power wire and a ground wire coming out of the lights. Connect the ground wires together and secure them under a bolt or screw for a good ground. Connect the power wires together and run this wire into the vehicle and to the top side of the switch. Lights should then work. There may be another wire for switch illumination. You will need to find a power source that comes on when the dash lights come on,preferably at the light switch. Good Luck!!

Which PIAA bulbs should i get for my car?

I own a 2007 Chevy Cobalt LS and i was looking to upgrade my existing stock headlight bulbs. I know that PIAA is the better brand out there. Two different kinds fit my car and i was wondering which would give me a better, brighter, safer, more visible driving experience.

Super Plasma GT-X Bulbs - PIAA GT-X replacement bulbs are designed with an exclusive purple low beam and an Xtreme White high beam. A purple topcoat gives the headlamp a bluish-purple look even when the lamp is turned off. GT-X bulbs feature PIAA's Xtra high efficiency technology that produces greater light output than the bulb's rated power consumption (for example, a bulb that consumes 45/65W of electricity has a light output that is similar to most 95/120W bulbs). GT-X bulbs are street-legal in Canada and all 50 U.S. states.

PIAA 9007 Xtreme White Plus Pr - PIAA Xtreme White Plus halogen and driving light bulbs project a brilliant cool white light that comes very close to the color of expensive High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting systems. Many Xtreme White Plus headlight bulbs feature PIAA Xtra high efficiency design that produces greater light output than their rated power consumption (for example, a bulb that consumes 45/65W of electricity has a light output that is similar to most 95/120W bulbs).

in my educated opinion, the GTX beams would suit your car perfectly, the nice Color and the safety of the brightness, it all together would be a good match i personally use night hawks i love them, the efficiency of the bulbs your putting in your car are amazing, the light they will produce out of that car would be great not only will you have a wide view but a distance view as well, a perfect match for your perfect car, good luck..max

4114 Bulb Upgrade?

I need someone to tell me if there is a bulb on the market tht makes an upgrade for a 4114. The bulb is for the daytime running lamps on a 2005 Z71 Tahoe

I've upgraded my high and lowbeam bulbs (PIAA Xtreme white ,lows & Silverstar Ultras, highs) So I need a daytime running lamp bulb to compliment them. I've checked EVERYWHERE! Cant find anything but standard replacements.

I wouldn't mind even a LED, as long as its in the 4000K-6000K temp. range.

So I KNOW someone out there has found an upgrade! Share the brand with me..........
