Police ID St. Louis woman killed in hit-and-run crash

ST. LOUIS • Police were searching for the hit-and-run driver who fatally injured a woman as she was crossing the street in front of a popular downtown bar early this morning, the Broadway Oyster Bar.

Amber Wood, 23, of the 2700 block of Accomac Street, was hit and killed  about 1:50 a.m. by a car speeding south in the 700 block of South Broadway near Gratiot Street.

Wood was thrown about 80 feet and died at the scene, police said.

A man, 29, who was crossing the street with Wood, was also hit and suffered cuts to his face, hip and leg.

Police withheld his identity. He is expected to be released from a hospital.

Police describe the car that fled the scene as a gray Pontiac Grand Prix or Grand Am. The vehicle had Missouri license plates, a broken passenger headlight and possible damage to its undercarriage.

Police did not have any description of the driver and didn't say if anyone else was in the car.

Witnesses last saw the car heading south on South Broadway. Investigators on Friday evening found a car they believe to be the one involved in the crash at a Madison County scrapyard.

Pontiac Grand Prix Headlights?

Is there a place online that sells projection headlights for a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix? Anything besides stock actually, kind of like headlights that people put on their Honda or Nissan to make it look more stylish.
Let me restate the question, not headlight conversion kits, I mean the entire headlight assembly, not the bulbs.

No, you'll have to do the retrofit yourself. Its kind of a lot of work, but its worth it.

1998 Pontiac Grand Prix Headlight Issues?

I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix and had my headlights replaced and the plastic covering for them cleaned. I have not noticed any significant difference in my vision at night with the replacement. I also noticed that my bright lights are, if not dimmer, the same brightness as my dims are. Did the folks at Wal-Mart give me the wrong light bulb? Is there a certain bulb that I should get?

if you want better and brighter and better headlights get the sylvania Silverstar or sylvania silverstar ultra they are a bit expensive but worth it

2000 pontiac grand prix headlight problem no brights?

My dims and DRLs are working fine but I always have a very dimly lit bright symbol in the instrument panel and when I turn the brights on it goes out as do the headlights. I have notice a considerable amount of moisture inside the lenses. I have aftermarket bulbs in now, I tried putting the old ones back in and they do the same thing. All fuses relating to headlamps appear to be good. Also how do I get the moisture out of the headlamp assembley? Do I need to re-glue the lense?
How do I test to make sure thats what it is?

Sounds like a bad dimmer switch....try replacing the dimmer switch--- the dash symbol lights up because of power trying to ground through that circuit. Moisture in the headlights means they should be resealed or replaced to prevent corrosion but some people think it can be minimized by removing the light assemblies and drilling a couple small 1/8 inch weep holes in the bottom most point to allow the water to drain out and let air circulate. If not sealed, any humidity in the air will get into the lights and condense---common problem.

2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Headlights?

when i drive my car, my headslights will just go out all of a sudden on dim, i have to turn them on bright for them to even work, then i brightlight everyone, they go out stay out between 10 seconds, to up to 3 mins, they do it about once a week, but here lately like last night they went out twice in the same night, what could be wrong? I know its not the switch and its not the blubs because they come right back on?

relay for your headlights is going out.
