Enter the Tellurex World Pot, a teakettle generator. Created by Traverse City, Michigan headquartered Tellurex Corporation, the Tellurex World Pot is a practical solution that combines native cooking fires and thermoelectric science to recharge cell phones and other small battery operated devices. The Tellurex World Pot is being developed for use in remote villages around the world or during crises, such as natural disasters, when electrical grids might be disrupted.
“My intent is that people will be able to use this on something as primitive as a three stone fire burning dung,” said Tellurex’s Director of Engineering Richard Harmon. “The Tellurex World Pot can be used with any fuel source - dung, wood, charcoal, kerosene or propane. It can operate on all of these - even potentially on a solar cooker. All it needs is a heat source underneath it.”
To use the Tellurex World Pot, just start the heat source and add water or another liquid such as milk to the kettle. After about two minutes on the fire, the tea kettle will have generated enough power to boot up a dead cell phone. Of course, the liquid in the kettle would be heating at the same time. This enables people to charge small devices and boil and sterilize water using the same heat source. Watch a demonstration of the Tellurex World Pot through www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YoBaR5Quxc

I am looking for a fuel saver device?
Jul 04, 2007 by eckankar_2003 | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
Hello to all;
I am looking for a fuel saver (petrol saver ) device for my car and I will be very happy to hear your opinions.
I heard more about them but now I want to know two things;
1. does it work really ?
2. what kind of device I should buy ?
Please write to me its name, company's name or web site address.
Thank you so much
The 'devices' are crap. If there was a way for the car to take less gas, don't you think the manufacturers would be putting them on in the factory?!? It's just like diet pills (none of them really work, because if they did there wouldn't be so many fat ppl in the world. And yet, diet pills are a huge $$$ industry.)
The best thing you can do, is alter your driving habits.
No sudden starts, accelerate slowly and smoothly, and reduce your highway speed to the speed limit.
Make sure your tires are properly inflated, and that the air/oil/fuel filters are changed at proper intervals.

HP gain/ Fuel saver devices?
Nov 18, 2006 by chevman4ever | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I was on ebay earlier and found some hp gain/fuel saving products. One is the magnet to the fuel line, to get carbon out of the fuel??? Second was the air razor that goes in your air intake to make the incoming air spiral and give better power, and fuel milege. Last was a little chip/mod the supposedly gives you up to 25 more hp, but I am not sure how exactly it works. Has anyone ever used any of these? And do they work, or is it a bunch of bull? Thanks
Pure bull. Visit Popular Mechcanics. They tested all some time ago.

You can get performance chips . . .
The rest is JUNK!.
You want increased mpg? Try 3 ounces of acetone per ten gallons of fuel for a 3-5 + mpg increase.
Waldo | Nov 18, 2006
Hey there that air razor your talking about it does work and the mod chip its a good add on too but you may end burning more fuel with that the air razor that be ok to go with here in Canada we have the same thing but its called the tornado it works good now the magnet on the fuel line i never heard of that thats probally a bunch of bull now another way to boost your HP is duel exhaust if you have a V-6or V-8 and a K&N air filter too hope this helps ypou out a little ... a little saying for you puss .es drive fords ,chickens drive dodges , and real men drive big block chevy trucks...LOL ...sorry ford and dodge fans i got that saying off the net

Mod chips will help performance but will also decrease fuel mileage and increase wear and tear on the entire system. K&N or Fram Air Hog filters will help a little. The magnets are hogwash if there is no carbon in the fuel it will not work. The razor/tornado is a cute gimmick that might help a few select cars but in general do not do a lot. This is true for most gas saving gimmicks. Plain and simple maintain the car proper; tune-ups oil changes fuel system cleanings etc and maybe consider using a synthetic oil for the best fuel economy

ruuuuuunnnnnn!!! its a voodoo hex chasing you. seriously, thats about as credible as saying magnets attached to the outside of my water lines will take heavy metal out of the water running into my house... ok, even if it does, the sediment has to stick SOMEWHERE. ie plugs in the system to fix later. save yourself the hassle and empty all the extra stuff out of the trunk, you'll save yourself more money and lots less hassle. there's a huge discussion on this if you'll check into the people who are serious about getting every single mile possible out of a gallon of gas. i read just a couple of weeks ago about (and saw the pictures) of a car this guy modified taking nearly all the interior out of the car and adding a small wheel between the rear tires and he gets some crazy mileage like 99mpg. there are teams that compete in a contest. search the net on green driving.

Are all fuel saver work for my car ?
Jul 11, 2010 by lee | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
i saw a special seller who sell all system of fuel saver kits.....
All those fuel saver ads are rips. Best advice for fuel savings? Drive less, drive smoothly, no quick starts and stops, drive the speed limit, keep all extra junk out of your car, don't use your trunk like a storage facility, plan trips for shopping/errands in advance, buy locally instead of driving to big box stores, pay bills by mail or online, keep your car tuned up, correct air pressure in tires, air cleaner clean, oil changed, pack a lunch, don't waste hours in drive thru's.

Tornado Fuel Saver.. Intake turbo?
Mar 21, 2008 by G.(A).J <T> | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
So my buddy was telling me about this little device that he just saw at the local auto parts store called the Tornado Fuel Saver.
I looked it up as soon as I got home and read a bunch of reviews.
One website even states that it not only increases gas mileage by about 4mpg.. But also increases Horse Power by 7%..
Is this true??
This device is priced at almost $70 at the local auto parts store..
Does it work??
And would it be worth buying???
The vanes of the "tornado" are purported to cause a swirling of the air stream and thereby move air more efficiently to the cylinders . . . Unfortunately that swirling requires energy and actually slows down the air intake by sapping the linear energy of the airstream . . . As in the previous answer, the effective resistance increases geometrically as the speeds go higher and, at higher rpm's, there will be a measurable fall off in power . . . The 'tornado' effect also directs the air currents in a way that can interfere with proper distribution of air to each cylinder . . .
A simple air box is actually far more effective in providing lower resistance and equal distribution of air to all the cylinders . . . A swirling effect would cause misdirection of air in the manifold leading to imbalanced flow to the veins . . . Most intake manifold designs actually incorporate a small air box precisely to mitigate turbulence in the air stream . . The larger the air box is - the more even and equitable is the flow but because of the constraints of size, under the hood, they are kept to a minimum . . .

Easy to install on any car - Gas or Diesel
Installation: 1. First locate your fuel supply line that feeds the engine from the fuel tank. Most vehicles will have two lines running next to each other. There will be a supply line and a return line. Carefully, while the engine is turned on, in PARK, touch the fuel line and find the colder one. The colder fuel line is your fuel supply line. If it's very cold outside, your going have to install the product in a warmer garage. Otherwise, you can do a visual check determine which is your supply line. 2. Position the two parts of the fuel saver on opposite ends onto your fuel line. Use the built in screws to tighten. Because of the cleaning and removal process of carbon deposits in your cylinders, the fuel consumption may increase during the beginning cleaning cycle. Your vehicles mileage will stabilize after a short period. You will see noticeable improvements after 3 full gas tanks or about 1000 miles. It is highly recommended that you insure your air filter is clean. If possible adding fuel cleaners to your gas tank will make the cleaning of your engine go faster. Improved performance and a smoother running engine will usually be noticed.
Installs on the fuel line - Must go under the car or locate fuel line under the engine bay. This item is not plug and play, because you need to install it on a fuel line feeding your engine.
