Air fresheners in the car have to be replaced quickly since they lose their scent fast.Besides, cars need strong air fresheners to remove the strong odor of shoes. They can become really smelly after a long trip or when you don't drive too often. Here is a simple way to make an air freshener for your car.
Instructions
1.Mix equal parts of cinnamon and apple sauce.(One cup each would do)Add the mixture to a small bowl and make a dough. You may add a few drops of water to make it consistent.
2.Place the dough between two sheets of wax paper. You can also use a pastry board instead of wax paper. With the help of a rolling pin, flatten the dough into a circle. The thickness can vary between 1/4 inch to 1/5 inch.
3.Use your cookie cutter to cut the flat circle in a desired shape. You can also sculpt using your hands. With the help of a straw, make a hole at the top of the freshener.Let it now dry for three or four days on wax paper or on a cooling rack.
4.Thread a ribbon and hang it in your car.The pleasant scent of cinnamon and apple will absorb all unpleasant odors keeping your car smelling fresh for a long time.
Once you’ve made it clear that you are the driver, the goat will
have no other option but to accept the role of passenger. Goats
have little or no car etiquette so they are pretty much impossible
to secure into place with a seatbelt because they will quickly chew
through the clasp. Forego the safety of the goat and focus instead
upon simply surviving the excursion yourself. If the vehicle has a
stick shift the little knobby thing on the end will be the
preferred snack choice of the goat. You can discourage the goat
from gnawing the end off the gear stick by simply leaving your hand
on the stick and slapping at the goat each time he goes for the
knob. In time he will turn his attention to something less
challenging like the rearview mirror. If the goat should rip the
rearview mirror from its mounting, do not despair because as long
as you keep the windows securely rolled up he cannot reach the side
view mirrors and you can use those to see behind you.
Your only risk now is the imminent possibility of passing out from
the smell of the goat because you’ve rolled up the windows to
protect the side view mirrors. There isn’t an air freshener made
that can cover the smell of a musky goat. Unless you happen to be
in Uganda, you’re toast. Fortunately, I am in Uganda and that means
that I can stop the car, hail a motorcycle taxi, also known as a
“bota” give the driver 10,000 shillings (equivalent to about U.S.
$4) and then hand over the goat.
Here are some of our favorites on the used car lot:
2009 Honda CR-V 4WD 2.4-liter: $22,545
A good-value choice: smooth ride, fun to drive, reliable and fuel-efficient. Small enough to maneuver and park easily, but cleverly designed to be roomy and flexible inside. One downside is tire noise.
2009 Toyota RAV4 4WD 2.5-liter: $22,300
It may be compact, but the RAV can seat seven. It’s well equipped, impeccably built and has a great reputation for reliability.
2009 Nissan Pathfinder 4WD 5.6-liter V8: $30,365
A rugged, mid-sized SUV capable of off-road adventures. The V8 can tow up to 7,000lb, but it’s thirsty. There’s a V6 if you don’t need to tow. The 2009 model gained front and side airbags.
2009 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD 4.7-liter V8: $29,630
This mid-sized SUV is much-loved for its near-bulletproof reliability and strong resale values. Sure-footed over rocks (look for the Trail Edition for serious off-road kit) but not the smoothest to drive on the highway, or as roomy as some.

what is the best air freshener for your car?

I love having my car smell good but what is the best air freshener for a car in your opinion?
I have the perfect product that I've used for years and know dozens of other people that use it. It is a product called FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great. It works so much better than baking soda and all those sprays and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant and gels that warn about staining fabrics and keep away from pets. WIth Fridge-IT, The carbon literally absorbs and eliminates the odors and works for a long time. Just place one or two in your car and trunk. I use this product everywhere including car, storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it. Definitely worth trying.

What is a good air freshener for your car?
Apr 20, 2007 by adnamarie | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
Hi,
I buy all types of air fresheners for my car and some of them usual don't work or are overly strong. What do you use or recommend?
I use dryer sheets. They're much cheaper than "regular" air fresheners. You can change them as often as you like. I simply stick one under the seat.
Another benefit of dryer sheets. Allergies !! Think of others that may sit in you car.
I'm am allergic to certain air fresheners (chemical content). It causes a side effect that is often "mis" diagnosed as Bronchitis. This allergy takes several days/exposures to manifest, and by then, I am having difficulty breathing and have a chronic cough that takes a week or more to get rid of, after removing the offending freshener.

Oddly enough there's a DSM (Mitsu Eclipse, Eagle Talon, etc.) performance parts dealer that has imported what they claim to have the best smelling car air freshener known to man (refillable, even, along with adjustable), here at this page: http://www.machv.com/csairsps.html
I haven't tried it myself, but you should give it a try.

not even slighty. where would you hear that?
Danielle | Nov 14, 2007
It depends on the size - and the mood of the officer. If it is in the officer's opinion that it is distracting to the driver or other drivers, it is illegal. The exact wording of this will vary from state to state.
Nigel M | Nov 14, 2007
It is not illegal.
However, if the officer thinks that it is obstructing the view (rather larger air refreshment), he might ask you to take it off.
vitaliybori | Nov 14, 2007
no its not,and anyone who tells you that is wrong, that's why they make those things for,its not against the law in any state or city that i know of to have one on a mirror, good luck.

air freshener for car?
Dec 19, 2006 by amanda | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
i have a car with all leather interior...even the doors and dash are leather and i was wondering if there was any air fresheners that are safe to use in your car ON LEATHER. i am so scared to use febreeze cause it says only for cloth. the only thing cloth in my car is the floor and itd be useless to spray the floor only i think.....anyway thank you.
Don't use Febreeze on the leather.
Also most vehicle interiors especially door panels are vinyl and leather. The Febreeze can discolor the leather. Vehicle leather interiors are different. Some are harder, softer or unprotected finishes.
Try a clip on air freshener that attaches to the air vents or a canister style that you can place under the seat. The little tree air fresheners also work ok but they can discolor plastic panels if it rubs against something in the car.
And what about that new car smell? Everyone must love it, because now you can choose that as your air freshener choice at the car wash in your now used vehicle. Deep down we all know the economics professor makes a good point. Everyone knows a car
Your paint will look so fresh and scratch free that the car's value shoots up. Décor packages, vehicle theft protection, wheel repair, paint less dent remover, air freshener, headlight restoration, glass repair, rock chip repair, leather shop and
From time to time, clean your automobile's floors with a carpet shampoo and baking soda. This will help get rid of the puppy smell. Keep an air freshener that kills bacteria in your glove compartment for a last-minute fix. Car wash.
A high quality air filter will perform better than a cheaper one. It will trap more pollutants, including smoke and fumes – even some microorganisms, if it has been impregnated with a germicide. Many come with a long-lasting mild air freshener too, and more »
Life's in the slow lane for a techno-tardIf I'm ever a passenger in your car, I'll try not to make a fool of myself while attempting to squeak open your window and thereby escape the saccharine stranglehold of your air freshener, but it will likely be beyond me. I apologize in advance for the
