Madonna ticket details announced
The cheapest tickets for Madonna's June 3 Yas Arena Yas Island show will be priced at Dh250 and Dh495, Flash Entertainment announced yesterday. Seated spots in the grandstand will be Dh695; Golden Circle Dh1,095 and hospitality packages Dh2,295. General sales begin at noon next Monday, February 27 through www.thinkflash.ae and at select Virgin Megastore outlets in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Flash said there has already been huge interest from UAE fans and those throughout the region for the Abu Dhabi stop, only the second on the tour, with Etihad Airways and its destination management company Hala Abu Dhabi offering flight and hotel packages.
Although most major markets on the tour sold out in one day, Madonna's performance on the charts has been less stellar: after debuting her single Give Me All Your Luvin' before millions at the Super Bowl half-time show, it looks set to drop out of the UK Top 40 charts after just one week.
Flat belly can banish back pain
I f your belly enters a room seconds before you do, chances are you’re no stranger to an aching back. In the past 20 years, the incidence of obesity has tripled, and at the same time complaints about back pain have doubled. So could trimming your bulging middle (or backside) prevent those “gotta -lie-down-now!” twinges and spasms in your back muscles?
Two new studies say yes. But the back-saving benefits of a flat belly and trim hips go beyond easing muscle pain. The big story: Body fat is a demolition derby for your backbone’s discs; staying slim keeps the gel-filled cushions that act as your spineshock absorbers out of harm’s way.
Extra pounds increase the load on your spine — taxing your muscles and dumping pressure on the soft tissue around your vertebrae. That can exaggerate the natural curve of your lower back, throwing off your spine’s alignment and triggering chronic pain. And belly fat pumps out inflammatory chemicals that weaken discs. Add sitting for long periods, and here comes the need for pain relievers such as ibuprofen or more serious remedies.
