Sales of existing homes up 4.3% in January
23.05.12
Job creation, mild weather, rising rents, and increased household formation contributed to the sales gains, according to Lawrence Yun, chief economist of the NAR.
“Things are genuinely improving,” Yun said. “Maybe we are seeing household formation popping out,” he added. That could mean children moving out of their parents’ homes as they got a job, he said.
December’s sales were downwardly revised to a 4.38 million rate from a previously reported 4.61 million, making the final month of 2011 a 0.5% decline instead of a 5% gain.
December sales were downwardly revised as part of a seasonal adjustment that impacted monthly, but not annual, sales. That’s not to be confused with the 14% downward revision the trade group recently conducted on sales data from 2007 onwards.
The NAR called the latest revisions “minor” and said the figures didn’t impact total 2011 sales of 4.26 million.

Will the Range Rover/Land Rover sales now soar with all this bad weather in the UK?
Feb 07, 2009 by Russell B | Posted in Buying & Selling
With all this bad weather will the Land Rover group sell plenty of 4 wheel drive cars could it be the answer to their bad sales problem.
I myself thought if only i had a four 4 wheel drive car it would have made like less difficult getting to work this week.
it would take more bad weather than this to get a mass rush of 4x4 buyers.
they will only benefit you in fresh snow on the roads, once onto ice or compacted snow a 4x4 will slide like any other vehicle.
chunky | Feb 07, 2009
The weather has nothing to do with it.
People who can afford to waste money on a Range Rover don't do it because of prevailing weather conditions.
william d | Feb 07, 2009
I think people will have thought about a used 4x4 and had a look on the internet but now the weather has passed, they will stop looking at them and if they are getting a new car get a family estate like they would if it were dry.
Mr Answers | Feb 07, 2009
Having spoken to two owners this week I would buy something else as they quickly did.
edgarl | Feb 07, 2009
No because if you live in the UK there would be no point because this sort of weather only happens once a year at the most.

How much does it cost to be VIN bonded for California DMV? What is all involved, I have done Lien Sales.?
Dec 11, 2007 by shelman23 | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I'm not sure what I even was supposed to ask, but I used to do Vehicle Lien sales and there is a huge market for doing all the paperwork that people don't want or have time to do. I don't know what the costs are all involved in, and It's practically impossible to get any actual information from the state. Anyone that has a link or info would be great.
ITS BEST IF YOU CONTACT YOUR LOCAL (DMV) DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES OFFICE, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO ANSWER ANY AND ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL BE GETTING THE CORRECT ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION.

Welcome to the wonderful world of BMW.
It's the same at the car dealers too.
rottendog93 | Oct 08, 2009
Its called dickheadnugen. Why does BMW inter-loaf in the motorcycle world anyway? They should stick with the cages.

thats hard to believe, you soumd like bart!
Adam | Oct 08, 2009
The BMW dealer in my town isn't like that at all. They sell bmw, triumph and ducati. One of the friendliest dealerships I've been in.
If the employees acted that way towards you why don't you tell the management about their "attitude" towards a potential customer. If you can't tell them face to face then give them a call and tell them of your experience while you were in their dealership.

It depends if you are going to spend some big bucks they will kiss your ass over and over again until you come back with a problem. If you are just looking F U is the attitude. I know a first time MC owner that Bought a 27 grand Harley new and even bought a 32 dollar hat got the hat home and noticed a flaw in the embroidery went back the next day to exchange it and they would not do it. If you are looking to ride go buy a used Harley old new whatever take it apart start finding the aftermarket shops and get your stuff with them and be a real Motorcycle Person. These aftermarket shops will help you solve your problems because that's what they do. And you will get more respect too.
Old School MC Service | Oct 08, 2009
Not only are the dealerships and the sales people snobs .. So are the riders .. I don't even talk to a beemer rider and yeah i ride a harley cause if and when they do break and all bikes does i can get parts for it .. but hey you ride what you like ...I prefer a American worker to get a paycheck from what this American buys .. the Trickle down deal really works no matter what you do for a living cause that blue collar worker has to buy what you are selling and if he don't have a job he don't buy it .........

Go to Hammersley's BMW in Lynchburg. Nice place with laid back staff and good prices. Where you there to buy or just waste their time?
molitor | Oct 09, 2009
I agree that they probably got the hunch you were there to compare not buy.
some auto dealers are simply stuck in the past and think it is still a sellers market. more than ever (because of the economy), it's a buyers market so this dealership may have to take a look at their business plan.

No. Bob's BMW in Jessup Maryland .They might even give you the "Nickle Tour". A nice little vintage bike museum type of thing going. Were were treated very nicely by Bob and his staff. I bought a the battery I was looking for, a couple of cool T shirts and was given a Complimentary hat. Bob likes his picture wall with his hat's on riders from all corners of the world. I live in Utah I go back east once or twice a year. If it can wait I will just get it from Bob's http://www.bobsbmw.com/

Can someone give me a link to find rankings of all NJ Toyota dealers in order of volume of sales?
Apr 29, 2009 by Herschel Eggman | Posted in Toyota
I want to go only to the biggest dealers to buy my car. They're more likely to deal with good prices.
Usually the bigger the dealer, bigger the problems. They have a HORRIBLE reputation for mistreating customers. Just think about it. If they are selling a lot of cars...each customer gets less attention. I think a Mom and Pop store would be the way to go. They're more hungry for the deal and will go out of their way to make sure you're a happy customer. And when it comes to follow up and problems down the road, they'll be there for you A LOT more than the bigger guys.
If you end up purchasing from one of the bigger stores, make sure you get EVERYTHING you paid for. Don't let them talk you into getting your mats, alarm, or any extras at a later time. DUE ON DELIVERY!!
However, to answer your question, the Top 5 largest/volume selling dealers in NJ are:
Prestige (Ramsey, NJ)
Hudson (Jersey City, NJ)
East Coast (Woodridge, NJ)
Gateway (Toms River, NJ)
Sansone's (Avenel, NJ)
