Airbag backpack saves skier's life in deadly avalanche
23.05.12
Provided by Most of the time, skiing is a fun, leisurely pursuit enjoyed my millions of people around the world. Occasionally things can take a turn for the worst, like last weekend when an avalanche took the lives of three highly experienced skiers in the Cascade Mountains in Washington. Of the four skiers caught in the avalanche, only one survived. Speaking after the incident, Elyse Saugstad put her incredibly lucky escape down to her airbag backpack which she managed to trigger just in time. "Ultimately I think you don't have much time to react," she said in an interview with ABC News. "The first thing that came to my mind was to use my airbag device." As she and her fellow skiers were swept 3,000 feet down the mountain, her inflated airbag helped to keep her on top of the snow. The airbag is also designed to create space around the skiers face and body so that should they become buried, they'll still be able to breathe while they wait to be rescued.

2013 Nissan GT-R
23.05.12
Enhancements to the 2013 Nissan GT-R signal its intent to remain on the leading edge of international sports car design, technology and performance. Major refinements to GT-R’s renowned engine for the new model year include improved intake efficiency, reduced airflow resistance including an enlarged air intake duct for the intercooler, and improved exhaust emissions efficiency and enhanced control. Each engine is hand-assembled in a special clean room, similar to racing powerplant construction. As a result, horsepower is rated at 545 hp, an increase of 15 hp over the 2012 GT-R’s 530 hp. Similarly, torque has been increased to 463 lb-ft from 448 lb-ft. Transmission shift feel and quietness have been refined through a strengthened design of the shift fork arm and a firmer fixing bearing for the flywheel housing. Also, high performance differential oil, used in GT-R motorsports competition, is now standard for production models.

Na1ler | Jul 23, 2009
WHAT YEAR? yOU GET NOTHING FOR EXTRAS LIKE STEREO AS WOU CAN KEEP ANYTHING NOT ORIGINAL AS VALUE WILL NOT CHANGE. I AM GUESSING IT IS 1990'S AND IF SO UNLESS CLEAN CARFAX AND 50,000 MILES AND NEEDS NOTHING FIXED AT ALL MAYBE 3000.00 IN 2WD AS THEY USED AS MUCH GAS AS V8 AND POWER IS NOT GREAT NOR RELIABILITY AND WAS ONLY 20-22,000 NEW WITH , FOR THOSE WHO KNOW HWAT I MEAN A RESIDUAL FOR LEASE OF APPROX. AT TIME OF SALE 32% COMPARED TO SAY 4-RUNNER @ 64% IN 1996 AND UP. IT IS A BASE EXPLORER AND IS NOT A HIGH RESALE suv TO START WITH.

how much is my truck worth.?
Dec 25, 2008 by shane.sabrina | Posted in Buying & Selling
i am asking this question because i dont know how much my truck is worth & i know dealers be ripping of people.
first of all i live in new york.
i have a 2004 lincoln Navigator.
mint condition.
millage "40K"
nothing if wrong with it.everything is in perfect working condition.. no dents or scratches out side.
leather seats/wood finishe... seats are in mint condition.
stock air bags/air lift.
extras.. 24" lexani rims wit low pro falken tires. - cost about 5000$ when i paid for it.
navigation system.- came with the truck.
headrest dvd.. -- came with the truck.
2 head Monitors.. - paid almost 1000$.
complete jl audio system..2 w7 13" & 2 1000.1 amp..cost about 5000$
Simple. Check www.kbb.com and www.nadaguides.com.
However, don't expect to get your money back on the mods you have made. And don't expect that it will make the vehicle easier to sell -- many potential buyers will not be interested in the mods, and won't want to pay extra for them. Unless you can find just the right buyer, the mods will actually make the vehicle harder to sell. Don't make a big deal of the mods when you advertise the vehicle for sale -- mention them but don't make them a big deal.
