Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo Van Offers Efficient Packaging with a Large Cargo ...
23.05.12
/PRNewswire/ -- The all-new Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo Van, which makes its North American debut at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show, is set to join the growing lineup of Nissan Commercial Vehicles in early 2013 at 300 Nissan Commercial Vehicle dealerships nationwide. The NV200 follows the full-size Nissan NV Cargo, introduced in spring 2011, and the recently announced full-size Nissan NV Passenger that goes on sale this spring. The Nissan NV200 provides a new entry point for current cargo van and small pickup buyers looking for a compact, efficient alternative to their larger, less fuel-efficient vehicles.
"There is an increasing need for a 'right-sized' van that optimizes cargo space while offering the best possible fuel economy and an affordable price – the exact sweet spots of the innovative new Nissan NV200," said Joe Castelli, vice president, Nissan Commercial Vehicles and Fleet. "Businesses today, both large and small, are also looking for vehicles that represent their brands in the best light – smart, innovative, and professional. NV200 does that and much more."
“There’s no bill out there for seniors’ rights,” said Jill Rosenberg, the group travel manager for AAA New York, who has watched her mother-in-law and elderly clients struggle with check-in and security lines.
Older passengers with serious health issues do have some protections. The Air Carrier Access Act provides rights to fliers with physical or mental impairment, no matter their age (passengers with emphysema, for instance, may fly with a portable oxygen concentrator). And updates in federal rules that took effect in 2009 mean that fliers requiring wheelchairs must be provided with them in a timely manner. That still leaves out slower-moving older fliers who don’t have a disability but find airports intimidating.
Some families are so fed up that they spend thousands of dollars to fly relatives on private jets. But if you don’t have an endless budget, here is what you can do during the various phases of the flying process to make the next trip for your elderly friend or relative less daunting.

Is it possible to get a passenger air bag fitted in a car when its already made?
Aug 26, 2008 by flannellette | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
We are buying a used car but it doesnt have a passenger air bag, can we get one fitted?
well personally im not bothered about the airbag, its my boyfriend that is going on about there being no passenger side airbag.
sheb12 - its the one we could afford!!!
We didn't have airbags years ago, so don't fret, Hopefully you will never need it! Be safe out there! :)
Hey girlie, you have a lot of questions about this car, are you sure it is the one for you? ok He loves you! He wants to make sure your safe.
sheb12 | Aug 26, 2008
you might be able to find a new column for the car, but you still need the sensors, it would be cheeper to buy a model that already has them!

Not worth it unless it's a bentley or something to that degree. It also depends if the car model did come with optional passenger air bags. I've never heard of anyone wanting to have some installed though. It's not cost effective, and there's no safety tests from the factory to assure you that it's positioned properly so that it won't snap your neck when in a crash.
Get over the fact that there isn't an airbag, and that the car still is plenty safe with the good ole safety belt.
Jon m | Aug 26, 2008
Maybe if you have too much money or the car was made with an air bag in the same generation.
Not really worth it IMO. Air bags have been proven to cause more damage to taller and shorter occupants. They only work well in a certain range of heights.

I'm probably okay with an air bag since I'm only 6'0" but if you are putting your less than 5ft tall or more than 6ft friends next to you I'd not want an air bag there. My friend was in a car accident a while back and the only injury he had was his arms were burned by the air bag. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have hurt him if he didn't have the air bag because I think he got t boned cause some doofus ran a redlight. Not a real high speed crash.
If you really want to be safe just get better seat belts like nobody ever does despite worrying so much about safety

Better think twice about this. There are no good statistics about the number of people killed or maimed by airbags, but they are dangerous. My best friend's mother was killed by an airbag deploying when someone clipped her front end from the side (not a head on accident). Women and children are particularly vulnerable because of their smaller stature. The deployment mechanism is about the same as a blank shotgun shell pointed at your head or chest depending on your height.

No, you can't - it would alter the 'type approval' of the vehicle, and therefore make it illegal.
You could put up with it, or buy one with two airbags.
As for the other negative comments about airbags, the US use a very different system to the EU, European airbags deploy in a completely different way & are constantly being developed - many manufacturers recall vehicles to reprogram the airbag system for safer deployment as information becomes available.

I'll be quick about it. Possibly, but the expense would be great due to extra wiring and dash work, then it would probably look shoddy.
He should be fine with his belt, since there's no steering wheel to hit his chest.
Bit Pilsman | Aug 26, 2008
you would be able to have one installed in your car but it will cost you a lot because the garage who does it for you will have to install the airbag, wire it up to the ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT (this controls the car's functions) and then check it works
lets say it might cost you a few thousand to install one
hope this helps

Where can I find cheap Passenger Air bag for a 2005 Toyota Corolla S.?

Where can I find cheap Passenger Air bag for a 2005 Toyota Corolla S in the Los Angeles area. Any recommendations?
Start calling wrecking yards.
soaplakegirl | Oct 05, 2007
just a question, How much is your life worth?
A cheep air bag is not the quality you can get with new. If you get a used one you do not know the quality of it.
I would recommend getting a new one, if you were in a accident then your insurance pay for it, if you do not have insurance then you are dumb enough to get a used air bag to put back in.

Where can you find a cheap passenger's life? In my area, it is illegal to install used air bag components, and with good reason. If it is in a salvage yard, the car has likely been in an accident, and all parts of that nature are suspect. I wouldn't do it. You need to go back with new parts, and I don't know if there are aftermarket ones available or not.
Good luck and God Bless!

how to turn on the passenger air bag in a pontiac grand prx?
Dec 07, 2006 by DancingByTheMoon | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
in a 2006 pontiac grand prix, how do you enable the passenger side air bag, the display on the dash says its turned off, even when the passenger is sitting in the seat.....thanks
That's a brand new car!!!! Isn't that info in the owner's manual? If it isn't, can 't you take the vehicle back to the dealer so the problem can be diagnosed or you be instructed on how the passenger air bag works?
Lemar J | Dec 07, 2006
on our Dodge you insert the engintion key in a place on the dash to turn the bag on and off.

Can i put a fiberglass dashboard in my car and keep the passenger air bag?
Apr 07, 2008 by Nick S | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
ADDITIONAL QUESTION: can i put a new steering wheel in there and keep the air bag?
Both can be done, only if certain factors exist. Some pass airbags deploy by just ripping out of the dash some have a little flap. As for your steering wheel, you just need to find one that has an airbag in it. Usually car that that this custom don't have airbags, so I hope this isn't a daily driver.

Where is located the air bag passenger rear control module in a 2008 GMC Sierra Denali?
Jul 04, 2008 by Rob | Posted in GMC
There is a Passenger Roof Rail Inflator Module mounted to the roof along the headlining trim panel, right side. If you mean the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (the main SIR control module), it is located under the left front seat under the carpet. If I read your question literally, then there is no "air bag passenger rear control module" of any kind. There is a passenger presence module mounted underneath the front right seat if that is what you mean(shoulder shrug on that one bud). There are various sensors located in different positions all over the vehicle, none of which could be called a "control module". Hope this helps :)
