DETROIT, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --
Hyundai Motor America today introduced the significantly redesigned 2013 Genesis Coupe in a North American debut at the Detroit North American International Auto Show. In keeping with impressive performance upgrades, Genesis Coupe now sports more aggressive coupe styling, complemented by improved interior materials and design. Both 4-cylinder and V6 engines benefit from significant technology enhancements, with the 3.8-liter V6 engine receiving sophisticated direct-injection technology and the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine upgrading to a more precise twin-scroll turbocharger and larger intercooler. Automatic transmissions for these two models now have 8-speeds, with paddle-shift SHIFTRONIC® manual-shifting capability. Hyundai's proprietary telematics platform, Blue Link®, is now available, providing Genesis Coupe owners with a variety of infotainment services to meet their individual connectivity needs.
On the inside, leather-appointed seats are standard
along with a leather-wrapped, flat-bottom sport steering wheel. Heated
driver and front passenger seats with a 12-way adjustment are included. I
was looking for a heated steering wheel, but to no avail. I prefer driving
without gloves…usually better when interacting with a nav
system…so that heated steering rim is a nice-to-have feature in
Chicago winters when the temperature is hovering in the single-digits. The
metal covering on the pedals is a nice look but a touch slippery
immediately after you get in the car with snow on the bottom of your shoes
or boots. The standard equipped front and rear ultrasonic parking assist is
a big help when parallel parking or nosing-in to a garage parking slot.
The Regal GS is priced at $34,450. My test car was
equipped with an optional stereo/nav package for $1145, the power sunroof
at $1000, and the 20-inch wheels for $700. With the $860 destination
charge the grand total came to $38,155.

How much would it cost to get new front passenger brake caliper installed on 03 Pontiac Grand AM?
Jun 07, 2008 by Purrr | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
My husband found that the rubber boot in the caliper is damaged and is leaking fluid.
How much is it to get a new one installed?
Can we buy the part and bring it to the shop?
Yes buy the part go to a small brake shop they'll do it for less then 75.00 dollars, do no pay more. Guy on leffingwell corner of imperial La Mirada ,county of Los Angeles will do for 50. with the part.

You dont do one, you do both of them at one time.........
Parts and labor with rebuilt loaded calipers and machine the rotors and bleed out the brake system should be around $350.00 to $450.00 plus tax.
Doing only one will come back and bite you.....................

2003 Ford Mustang Convertible,I did the front passenger brake , Since then the caliper start cease or jam.?
May 07, 2009 by Howie L | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Since then the caliper start cease or jam on passenger front .Reason why I change the brake pad is completely finish . What can I do to release or free the piston ?
I did both front ,Driver and passenger, only the passenger jam .
Did you put anti seize lubricant/breakpad lubricant on the pads. (im not sure how the breaks are done on the mustang, if their are pins it slides on or just the pads slide them selves.
It's also probably pretty likely that you forgot to reinstall a clip or something that puts pressure outward.
And did you do both sides or just one?
did you push the piston too far back when installing the new pads?

You need to replace the caliper with a rebuilt. You misaligned the piston or wrecked the seals. Of course, it might have been going bad anyway. You just did one wheel? That's bad. You better let a mechanic do it and leave that poor car alone before you wreck it.

it sounds like you may have compressed the caliper with a c clamp , if so you may have scored the cylender wall so the piston wont slide straight , you will need a NEW caliper , sorry for the bad news .

whats the difference from a front passenger side brake caliper and a front driver side caliper?
Sep 17, 2006 by primitive_ape18 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
on a 1986 Honda Accord DX.
if you install the caliper on the wrong side, the bleeder screw will be on the bottom instead of on top. this will make it impossible to bleed the brakes because the air will go to the top.

How much will it cost to get a new brake caliper for the front passenger side brake?
Jun 07, 2008 by Purrr | Posted in Pontiac
We have an 03 Pontiac Grand AM. The front passenger tire kept squeeling, we thought it needed new brakes, coz it's almost 18 months since we last changed it.
He noticed that the rubber boot in the caliper is damaged and is leaking brake fluid.
So how much would it cost to get a new one installed?
Is this something he can do, or does it have to be done at a shop?
How much would it cost at a shop?
Can we buy the caliper ourselves and bring it to the shop?
Sorry for so many questions. Thanx in advance
Best to have someone that KNOWs how to work on it do it
Or at least make sure the brakes are bleed by a GOOD SHOP after he does the other work !
Get a NEW Caliper... with lifetime warranty at O Reilly's or AutoZone...
I recommend Wangers Caliper ...89.99
They have a cheaper 34.00 one that has Lifetime warranty also .. But I would only put it on if not keeping the car. ((They work)) also replace pads on both sides at the same time... Turn rotors or replace them also since they are only 20.00 each but must be a pair...
Parts 1 caliper 90.00
......... 2 rotors . 40.00
.........Pad Set . 25.00
.................. = ... 155.00
Brake Fluid ... 8.00 for 3
Its easy to replace these parts ....
But Get help bleeding the brakes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck...

2001 ford mustang convertible. Front passenger side brake caliper not releasing after depressing.?
Mar 15, 2010 by Marcia | Posted in Ford
after depressing the brake the caliper will not release. If we take the caliper off we can push it back in manually, but it will just happen again after stepping on the brake. We have tried replacing the brakes, calipers, brake lines, and chcking the existing lines for kinks and bends and the problem still exists. Can anyone please help??
now the brakes on both front tires are not retracting. We have changed everything except for the ABS system. we have changed brakes, rotors, calipers, brake lines, master cylinder, and the brake booster. We are running out of options not sure what it could be??
