Ford Racing’s Focus ST-R will make its competition debut this Friday afternoon in the Grand-Am 200 at Daytona International Speedway in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge as part of the ST field during the Grand-Am weekend.
After nearly a year in development and countless tests, the newest offering in the line of Ford Racing turnkey race cars is ready to make its competition debut.
“The competition debut of all our FR family of turnkey ready-to-race cars has not been the completion of the journey but the transition to a new phase of the development process,” said Jamie Allison, director, Ford Racing. “Our partnership with Multimatic Motorsports has led to past success with the FR500C and the Boss 302R and their contribution to the product that will take the track at Daytona later this week has been critical.”
“Having delivered the successful Mustang FR500C and Boss 302R production-based race cars, we have a well-established process with how to develop such cars with Ford Racing. We employ the same approach for each – we start with the production car and go through each subsystem on the car and change what is needed (and allowed) to provide a competitive race car,” said Larry Holt, team principal, Multimatic Motorsports. “Really, the direction from Ford is that this car should be as close to the production car as it can be. Ford really wants to show that the Focus ST is a capable performance car.”
When most people think of lush, healthy grass, golf courses and athletic fields spring to mind. Spring, summer, and fall, dedicated groundskeepers keep fairways and fields green, thick, and free of weeds. One major secret to their success is core aeration. Core aeration pulls plugs of thatch and compacted soil to create the conditions for optimal turf health. Regular use of a core aerator is the starting place for all subsequent lawn maintenance.
When DR Power Equipment considered aeration tools for the homeowner market it was clear that the predominant option for consumers was a spike-style aerator. Unfortunately for homeowners using those tools, spiking aerators actually increase soil compaction and can tear turf. DR Power Equipment decided that their customers deserved every advantage when it came to a healthy lawn. After months of design and testing the engineers at DR Power perfected a professional quality core aerator that’s sized and priced right for the homeowner.

How do i know wat kind of cam to get for my car? 74duster does the lift matter or any of the other things such as duration & centerline ??? i would have to do adjustmenys after i installedit right??? a little help please tryna get my car a little bit better performance
A cam shaft is only part of the power enprovement more RPM this means more fuel so you need a larger carb. + larger exhaust to remove the exhaust , hotter spark to burn the fuel.Best to research an decide how fast you want to go & h0w much you can spent . But just doing the cam shaft? There are other thing you can do to to get more power for less work & money.

Pros like Summit Racing can advise you on which cam is best for your application and use. The know the questions to ask to get you what you want. Lift, duration, and center line do matter a lot. There are other things to consider like you valve train, valve spring tension, head specs, or does your carb have enough flow for the cam you are considering. Try looking here: http://www.summitracing.com/
or give them a call at 800-230-3030.
Please, if you are trying to do this yourself, learn how to properly install your cam. You can destroy your heads and valve train easily if you don't know what you are doing.

Call the individual cam manufacturers, but be able to know what axle ratio you have and tire diameter and or RPM at 60 MPH. Be able to include any and ALL current or intended modifications.
Be warned,,there are increasing after market cam failures as Zinc, the main anti wear agent is removed from motor oil. Consider to switch to Dello Desiel oil after the change..

What size camshaft should I put in my stock 1980 Chevy truck?
Mar 07, 2010 by kickin it 93 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I want my truck to have that race car lope. I love it as choppy as can be but I want it to run good on the street. It may hit the strip eventually but mostly as a daily driver. What size camshaft would be good to put in?
Comp Cams thumpr line of cams is exactly what you are looking for. Give comp cams a call and they can tell you the profile you need.

dont go too aggressive, or it will lope, but have no power at all.
for a "proper", yet cheap set up, get an agressive cam, long tube headers, and a better intake manifold.
a high rpm cam in a low rpm engine does not come close to its peak, the parts will be fighting each other

What is a camshaft position sensor and what will happened if it is not fixed?
Nov 15, 2007 by Ravin Riches | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
i purchased a used 96 ford explorer and when i tried to get it inspected they told me i need to get the camshaft position sensor fixed in order for it to pass. what is this and if it is not fixed quickly what will happen to my car. also how much does a part cost and where can i get it fixed or find info on it in durham, NC?
CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR,,signal to tell the computer to make minute adjustment on the emission system,,,and save you gas
you can hardly notice it not working,as long it is not shorted or grounded
common problem is the small magnet inside falls off,,if the magnet didn't smash the moving parts inside,,you will only replace the sensor, which is cheap, part and labor wise,,,,,,otherwise you ll have to replace, the whole assembly which is time consuming, and part is more expensive

It sets the timing so the spark plugs will fire at the correct time according to what the computer tells it. It will go into "limp mode" to keep the car running long enough to get it to the shop, but will not keep emissions where they belong, which is why you are failing there. If you wait until it completely fails, the car will not start or run and you have a tow bill along with the repair bill. Any mechanic should be capable of the fix, and will give you an estimate of the cost.

What is the biggest camshaft that will work properly in a 305 5.0L engine with shaved heads?
Sep 06, 2008 by johnhester1987 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I have a Pontiac Firebird with a 305, and recently shaved the heads on it. I was wondering what camshaft would work properly with most performance? Any help with specs would be greatly appeciated. Thank you all.
if it's mostly stock go with edelbrock performer+ or comp cams 268H. they will idle well in gear and hustle up to 5500 rpm. also the lift is short enough to work with stock valve springs.
“The cam shaft controls all of the valve train on the engine. The ones we used to run were very aggressive and demanding on the lifters, rockers and valves. and more »
