Significantly Updated 2013 Toyota Venza to Make North American Debut at New ...
24.05.12
Venza's aerodynamic shape has been tastefully modified with a new upper and lower grille, fog lamps and rear taillights. The updated styling is complemented by a new 19-inch wheel design and three new exterior colors: Attitude Black, Cypress Pearl, and Cosmic Gray Mica.
The 2013 Venza is available in LE, XLE and Limited grades. The LE and XLE models are available with all powertrain combinations: four-cylinder, V6, front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD); the Venza Limited is powered by the V6 engine only, in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. Value has been enhanced and ordering simplified with the addition of many standard features in all three grades.
Venza was developed specifically for the North American market, appealing to customers who prioritize bold, innovative design, a luxurious and refined interior and excellent handling, but they still require roominess and versatility. Venza provides SUV flexibility with its fold-flat rear seats, spacious cargo area, elevated driver sightline, available AWD and up to 3,500-lbs. towing capacity.
Authorities at Bhabha Hospital said of the 15 patients eventually admitted, nine sustained serious injuries, which could require surgeries later. Chief superintendent of peripheral hospitals Dr Seema Mallick said: "The patients have sustained fractures to the head, neck, arm, spine etc. Barring one of them, all are stable now."
The bus was going from Kurla station (W) to Bandra station (E). A BEST press note said there were around 55-60 people on the bus. Around 5pm, said eyewitnesses , the bus took a sharp turn at the intersection connecting the Bandra-Kurla Complex to the road leading to the Western Express Highway before overturning and crushing the biker.
This, said sources, was the first time ever that a BEST double-decker bus had tipped over.
The BEST authorities said prima facie the driver, Jalimdar Bhosle, seemed responsible for the mishap as he was in a hurry to get past the signal. Eyewitnesses too blamed him, saying he was speeding. But Dattaji Dongre (31), a conductor, defended Bhosle saying he was driving within permissible limits.

Car pulls to the right even AFTER alignment... details below?
Dec 11, 2008 by abnOrmal | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
Briefly, I slid on some ice and hit the curb... fairly hard. I ended up replacing upper control arm, lower arm and strut rod on the front wheel passenger side. Mechanic also noticed the tire on that side was closer to the back of the car than it should be (not centered in the wheel well) Anyways he sent me to get an alignment (who apparently did toe in toe out) and noticed the same thing. The car still pulls.
He then said I might need to pull the suspension or something like that because something might have been bent (beyond the control arms which were replaced)
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA IF THIS IS TRUE?
WHAT COULD BE MY PROBLEM?
WHAT IS THIS SUSPENSION PULLING PROCEDURE?
(EXTRA INFO- tire pressures are fine, the front passenger side wheel was switched with driver side rear wheel at the body shop.)
Help!
Switch the front wheels left to right again and see if it pulls to the other side, if it does then you have a tire issue. If not, hopefully you got a printout from the place that did the alignment, if so state the actual measurements so I can see. The place that did the alignment should easily be able to tell if the angles are not within specifications and should have advised you.

A decent frame shop should be able to fix your problems. An alignment shop should also but sometimes..... Anyway, if you hit hard enough to bend suspension components you could have bent the sub frame (if your car has one) or just knocked it out of alignment. The alignment shop should have fixed your problem or told you why they couldn't. Even if it is just a bent wheel or spindle or whatever the alignment shop should find it and let you know in writing why it can't be fixed without parts replacement.
mikey | Dec 11, 2008
It sounds like the frame is bent. The structure that the control arms mount to have been damaged and need to be pulled back into square. Some body shops have this equipment . The car is placed on a machine that pulls the body and frame back into alignment.
junior | Dec 11, 2008
Don't listen to that idiot, your frame ain't bent. The problem that you are referring to is the caster. I work at tire/brake/alignment shop and I would try fixing the caster problem first ( where the tire is closer the the rear of the car. If that don't work than try rotating your tires after that check to see if the sub-frame is bent (apply only to some vehicles) and finally if all this don't work find a new alignment guy.
abraham f | Dec 11, 2008
Sounds like you bent the chassis. It will need to go on a frame machine and be straightened or pulled out to get the wheel back where it needs to be.
golden rider | Dec 11, 2008
It probably bent the unibody sub frame and yes it will have to be put on a frame stretcher to stretch the car back into the proper alignment, they put it on like an alignment rack and tie the car down in back with binders and pull the front sub frame until it stretches back into shape.
mister ss | Dec 12, 2008
Abraham F goes closest, as I see it.
If the wheel is displaced rearwards, the caster angle will be very poor or maybe even back at the bottom??? control arm/ wishbone.
The line of the caster angle should fall in front of the centre of the wheel, in order for the steering to naturally want to turn straight.
It's akin to the placement of the pivot on a shopping trolley wheel... the wheel will always follow "behind" the pivot.
Something is badly bent. The aligner should have realised it would be no use just adjusting toe- in.

Corvette Experts, hit behind right front tire, Repairable?
Feb 19, 2009 by garygvalentine | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
City accident relatively low speed, BMW hit the brakes and still hit Corvette behind right front tire, hit plastic slotted grill, cracked hood and passenger door. Being fiberglass, was the subframe damaged and can it be straightened?
I am looking to buy, but keep my cars forever and don't want to have problems 15 years from now (wife backed into a parking garage 16 years ago and now our station wagon's tailgate door isn't closing properly, bought a Fiat spider 16 years ago that had been hit over the left front tire and it chewed up two sets of upper/lower control arm bushings and the drivers door doesn't fit anymore and has broken the hinges).
Anyone experienced in this please help, thanks in advance.
I wouldn't worry about the frame and any thing fiberglass can be fixed if you want to dole out the cash so I don't know where you live but when i was building my chevelle the speed shop i went to there was a corvette place right by it and ive seen those guys take some seriously cracke up vettes and roll em out better than new .if you got the cash anything is possible.
joe'sgreenbunny | Feb 19, 2009
I'm not a corvette expert but I used to spend some time in a body shop. I don't see how the sub on a vette could be bent unless it was actually touched or the front wheel got hit, it seams the body would absorb it but just have a body man check it out. It's good to see someone who takes care of stuff, I have the same 55 Olds with a 575 horse George Barris built 371 with 455 pistons which made it a 403 I learned to drive in 20 years ago.
Theo | Feb 19, 2009
Well what year. Until recently Corvettes were the old huge frame with nothing but fiberglass for the body. It would take a lot more than that to bend the car up. Ever hear the term WRAP YOUR A(butt) IN FIBERGLASS. A Corvette is just like a boat. Nothing but a huge heavy frame (older ones) a light mostly fiberglass body and a big engine.

One wheel appears to to be more out than the other?
Aug 26, 2007 by EGHATCH92 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
i have a 92 honda civc that i recently crashed on the passenger side near the front fender. I had to replace most of the suspension on that side. All parts on that side are brand new upper and lower control arms, ball joints, axle etc.
but now when i put the wheel back on. The side with all new parts appears to be tilted. And the driverside looks normal. It drives fine and everything without any type of noise but the way its tilted doesnt look safe. What could be causing this. Is there anything special i have to do to my car after i but in new suspension parts?
Did you have an alignment done after the suspension work??

Whats wrong with my steering wheel...?
Jan 13, 2010 by Jay | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
So i have a 1991 honda accord LX. My car is perfectly aligned. but oddly my steering wheel is turened about 45 degrees to the left as drives straight and have no probles driving it what-so-ever. It has been in an accident before (only 1). Was hit on front passenger side, which left the wheel dented inward at the top. I was told i need to replace a few parts, and got a new hub & bearing, steering knuckle, lower and upper control arm, and afterwards my tire was straight like it was before the only difference was the steering wheel. Could it be the whole steering gear that needs to be replaced? or the rack? what could the problem be?
First you have to find out if the steering wheel is off or the alignment here's how. Turn the wheel all the way to the left to full stop. Now turn it all the way to the right to full stop count the number of turns the steering wheel makes to go from full left to full right.. Turn the wheel left half the number of turns. At this halfway point the steering wheel should be centered. If it is and the wheels are not pointing straight it is the alignment. If the wheels are straight at this halfway point but the steering wheel is not the steering wheel needs to be removed and put back on where it belongs.
I feel ridiculous writing that, given that I walked away with no physical injuries besides a bit of bruising to my upper arm, but the margin was as slender
