‘A NEW face and a new phase”—that’s how Michinobu Sugata, TMP president, described the all-new Lexus GS350 during its launch at the Lexus Manila Showroom in the Bonifacio Global City on Feburary 28.
Speaking before a gathering of selected members of the motoring media, Sugata shared that there were plans to scuttle the GS from the Lexus line-up last year. However, when Akio Toyoda, president of Toyota Motor Corp., was prevailed upon by the GS engineers to drive the car himself, Toyoda could not help but say “Wow!” and give it his stamp of approval. Thus, the car was introduced to the global market, including the Philippines.
According to Sugata, “The GS represents the beginning of a new design philosophy for Lexus. Leading the way into the rest of the line-up, it is visually striking, making the car instantly recognizable as a Lexus, even at a glance.”
Monterey County, CA — We recently had the opportunity to test the all-new Mazda CX-5 both on the road and the famous Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca track. Have a read for some preliminary driving impressions and watch this space over the coming days for a more in-depth look at what SKYACTIV technology is all about.
On the track
We were given the opportunity to drive the CX-5 (AWD and FWD models, and each GX, GS and GT trim level) on two different tracks: one was of the autocross variety, meaning a tight course outlined by orange cones. The other was just a little more major than that, as it was a true, full-bore race track and one that is well represented in the annals of racing lore. At 3.6 kilometers and featuring 11 corners, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is not the longest track but the variety of turns and elevation changes (through the famous “Corkscrew” section, you drop six stories through two turns) make it a challenge and a good way to test the limits of the CX-5, or any vehicle, for that matter. Which is what we did.

I just installed the bushings of the sway bar but now it makes a squeaky noise.?
Mar 19, 2007 by heavyD | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
i dont know if the bushings are making the sound or the front shocks. I replaced the bushings with energy suspension.
i bought the energy suspension polyurethane bushings
i own a repair shop, and they will do this for a while ,until they get seated in good, just about all of them will, but don't put any oil or anything on them, let them stop on there own, they should eventually stop making that sound, good luck i hope this helps.

If they are made of rubber, you overtightened them. If they are the newer silicone type, they will squeak a little.

What parts do I need to upgrade my suspension, underbody chassis?
Jan 24, 2010 by Jeeper | Posted in Chevrolet
On my 88 IROC-Z 350 I'm looking to upgrade as much as I can on my suspension & shocks, etc.
I know I need bushings, shocks and other parts. For example, what kind of shocks does my IROC have? I think they're gas shocks? I'll post a few links here because I am finding things as I go for my suspension upgrade.
1st off stop car part shopping on amazon. Go to summit racing, jegs, spohn performance, etc.
What are you wanting to do with your car? Suspension setups are diff for all types of useage, but the main prob on these cars are the thin weak stamped steel lower controll arms, pan hard rod and torque arm.
And the weak unibody design that flexes.
On my 1988 camaro heres my suspension so far
Spohn weld in sub frame connetors
Spohn adjustable lower controll arms with poly bushings
Spohn weld on lower controll arm relocation brackets
Spohn adjustable panhard rod with poly bushings
Jegster adjustable torque arm
Moog rear springs speced for the Irocs
KYB AXG adjustable shocks
Air lift drag bags in rear springs
Energy suspension poly trans mount, sway bar mounts and end links
Visit and join www.thirdgen.org and look in the suspension form on there for all the info you could ever want

Hyper-Flex replacement polyurethane components stand up well to contaminants that often destroy rubber and have been engineered to give longer-lasting performance and not compress permanently
Hyper-Flex is offered in a variety of durometers (firmness or softness), depending on product application; performance tested and race proven; used for all of Energy Suspension products that require a higher level of performance and durability
Durability is superior for cars, trucks and SUVs; road salt, oil, and a host of other common under car contaminants will eventually destroy the rubber bushings on your vehicles, not to mention the weight and torque forces that typically compress rubber
