Where is the cheapest place to buy Monroe Quick Struts?

Where is the cheapest place to buy monroe quick struts? So far the cheapest place I have found is Shocksandstruts.com. They are cheaper than rockauto.com and everywhere else I have checked.

Autozone has a good price on the Gabriel.

Personally I would look for somethign other than Monroe for Struts.
I would honestly recommend without a doubt: KYB, which also makes a quick strut assembly.
Gabriel's are good, but not great. Monroe's are OK, not good.
They all have lifetime warranties nowadays anyway.

Either of them will do.

Replaced both rear struts on a 99 Pontiac Grand Am GT with Monroe Quick Struts. Do I need an alignment?

I replaced both front ones a few months ago and had an alignment done then. Do I really need to do it again?

IF YOU HAD THE FRONT ALIGNMENT THEN NO TO THE FRONT BUT YOU WILL NEED THE REAR TO BE ALIGNMENT

Yes. These cars have four wheel independent suspension. The Camber may be out of tolerance. Which means your tires may be riding on an edge and not flat where they should.

Just Installed New Monroe Quick Struts. Week Later Thumping Popping Noise?

I just installed Monroe quick struts on the front of my 2003 ford taurus SE V6 (not wagon or overhead valve/cam). During the process I also installed new sway bar linkage since I had to cut them off. About a week later when i got up in the morning to drive to school i noticed this thumping/popping noise when going over any size bump or occasionally no bumps. so when i got home i checked the torque on the top of the strut mount and on the pinch bolt and sway linkage, all of them had some play except for the pinch bolt. I then re-torqued them to specifications. I went to test drive it and the noise reappeared not more than 10 yards away while backing out. any ideas of what the source could be? I am in the autos program at my high school, however now it is the weekend.
from what i could tell the noise was occurring due to a twisting motion while moving up and down of the strut while in place, but I'm not sure as I've been in the drivers seat.
why would that be the case if they weren't bad before? i didn't put any stress on it when i did the job.
i didnt cut the struts off. i cut the sway linkage since it was rusted so bad i that it just spun while the nut remained in place
the springs were already on the struts as they are monroe quick struts all you have to do is bolt them on from the top and slide the pinch bolt through, and connect the sway linkage. you dont have to mess with the springs or anything else for that matter. additionally, this noise did not persist before I changed the struts so why would it occur now with new struts?
the strut bushings came on the struts. they are monroe quick struts. so that should not be the problem. right now im leaning towards the ball joint. unless someone else offers anything new

Take a look at the ball joints.

When the car is sitting can you make the car bounce buy pushing down on fender while you turn the wheel, or maybe jack it up and let it down, you can feel for the noise

"Why did you have to Cut the [Struts?] Off. Are the {Spring Mounting Plates Secure to the Struts, Springs Aligned Properly, Mounting Plates (Right on Right Side- Left on Left Side?), Are the Mounting points Discolored (Weekend)? Ask You Instructor to check the mounts or go to a Good Body Shop ASAP.

when you change struts you need to change the strut bushings also or you will get those noises.

Shocks and struts Need to be replaced?

I need to replace my shocks and struts but I can't find what I'm looking for... I'm unsure of what product i need to buy, I would like Monroe quick strut because it includes shocks and strut. But I can't find it all I can find is Monroe Sensa - Trac Strut and I'm not sure what else i need to buy... I need Mounts also

I wouldn't recommend trying to change the struts yourself if it requires swapping out the springs. However, not all cars require this to happen. The plus with buying the quick strut is that it comes with new springs already in place. Changing the springs is quite difficult and dangerous without the proper equipment. Look in a repair manual to see what all you will need to do for your car. This may be the reason quick struts aren't available for your car, they aren't necessary. Generally the new struts will come with all the hardware you need with exception of the bearing plates/mounts which you already have on your list.

Struts Replacement for a 96 Camry -?

I am planning to change the front 2 struts in my camry. 190K miles still with OEM. It is making lot of clunking sound these days hence decided to replace. Please help me with -

a. Buying MONROE quick strut for 300$ after rebate and shipped
b. M/C asking 100$ to replace the struts.

Questions i have in mind is, should i buy quick strut or just buy a premium strut (w/o coil) and use the OEM coil? Next does the $ figures are nominal or high? Replacement is a easy job that can be done by me? (I change timing belt on my car, so)

Please help.

Go buy the struts yourself and borrow the tool from Auto-Zone for about 50 bucks. Once your done replacing the struts, take the tool back. And Auto-Zone will refund your money. I found this video that might help some.
