How To Remove A Dealership Sticker

This is my first shot at a "how-to" video and I always see people asking how to get rid of the hideous sticker their car dealer put on ...

Question about those auto dealership logos / ads they put on new cars. How can I remove it?

I don't like how these dealerships put adverts on the backs of all new and used cars, so I want to remove it, so i am not driving around giving them free advertisement.
But this damn thing looks like it was painted on ! It's not a decal or a sticker and it's plastered directly on the car's paint.

i doubt it was painted on
it just looks really thin

like the guy above
use a hair dryer
then pick it off with your finger nails, and pull

It's usually a sticker. Try gently heating it with a hair dryer or hot air gun. DON'T OVERDO IT AND BURN THE PAINT! Just a little heating and see if it comes loose.

is very lightly painted but can be easily removed. just take a hairdryer and heat it up and basically rub till it comes off.

I have always taken them off the car with a heat gun and they will peel right off, when i buy the vehicle i tell them to pay me to advertise for them take the crap off of the car.

ok need some advice? car wise.?

ok last saturday after work me and my coworker raced (I know it was childish racing stock civics a 00' honda civic against my 99' civic honda ex) but you know i just wanted to see if my car can actually leave him in the dust, well it didnt. he beat me:( heres what i think i lost, my RPM went to redline which i didnt like because it didnt shift from 1 to 2 by the way it's auto, which i now dispise automatic transmissions. so here is my question im a noob at this car modding/tuning stuff. i mostly want to tune mostly the engine to get more HP i dont want decals, and loud exhaust, etc. i want a nice clean civic. i want enough HP to beat at least a mustang or something you know. and im thinking about also doing a tranny swap auto to manual, would it be worth it? i got the car from a local dealership you know the ones that just sell used cars:( its my first anyways being 17 years old. i will need to start saving money in the summer for all this to happen:)

Motor Swap,Tranny Swap and go race!

H22's make 200Hp stock and are beasty motors, Or Gsr Motor B17 V-tec both are great motors for racing.

take $2000 and buy a new motor H22 or Gsr and have it siting around and save up more money for a manual tranny $400 and than save up about $2000 for a mechanic to put it all in the right way this is the REAL way to make a civic fast.

now if your just gonna keep this car which i would and keep the orignal motor like i would, heres what i'd do.

Headers and high flow cat converter, $300 (will not be loud untill you buy a rice muffler)

Cold Air intake, $150

Performance spark plugs Wires, Full Tune up. $110

Performance ecu $400-600 or a programmer dunno if they have one for your car but maybe $150

Advance your timing for faster spark to those performance plugs $0 this is free unless you pay a mechanic to do it for you.

Performance D series Intake Manifold $400 BIG INCREASE POWER.

Royal Purpal Full Syntec racing Oil $50 full oil change! and motor flush

Nos system only for when the big boys try to come and play with you Like them V8's shut them up real fast since they have double your motor. $600

I cant think of much more but these are good little upgrades hope i helped you.

I was in your shoes when I was 17, and I'll tell you. You should start with a sporty car to begin with. It'll take about $3000 to get a good working turbo kit and tuning to make your Civic run with a base Mustang let alone a new GT w/ 300HP.

My advice, when you can money trade your car for one like a 99 WRX for about $3000 more. You can get those to 350HP easily and that with blow away a Mustang. Especially on a track.

save your money.

There's not enough engine in a Civic to make Mustang-beating power without really cracking your wallet wide open. You'd have to start with an engine swap to bring in a block that brings a) more original power and b) more aftermarket power adders.

Your EX came stock with a D-family engine. It's a good enough mill to get you around town and stuff, but if you're wanting to stick your foot in it once in a while, the B family is the way to go. They're real popular with riceboys wanting to make more power in their little go-devils. The downside of all of that is, while you sink a mountain of money and time building a car that is going to be tough to work on down the road, if you come across a Mustang even packing the bottom-line V6, he's got the torque to drag both his car and yours away at a decent pace. You've got to stir the gears pretty darned fast to keep the engine in its power band, and he's just going to stuff his foot in it and drive away.

As for swapping in a manual to replace the auto, it seems to me that the car you've got on hand is nothing like what you want. Wrong engine, wrong tranny, wrong power levels. Maybe you're in the wrong car.

Start over ... you have the wrong car to do anything like this with. Go get you an eclipse or a VW with stock turbo. Those things will scream and you'll outrun even the healthiest Civics. All this is opinion and preference though. I have 6 Hondas right now and there is no way I would hack one of them up to change an auto to a manual tranny. Get something with all this already there.

the money and time you pour into adding more power and swaping from auto to manual you could have just sold your car and bought a different one that is better. but if you are persistent on keeping what you got. for the best bang for your buck you can throw on a ebay turbo kit or a dry 50 shot NOS kit either way you will beat your friends civic and maybe hang with those stangs. or gut out your whole interior and just leave your driver seat in.

Ah dude your about where I am, I'm 18 and got a '95 Civic when I was 17, gonna be earning some more money over the summer. A Civic is a good car and they're fun to tune don't listen to these guys. There are a lot of ricer civics out there giving Civic owners a bad name. It's worth putting up with all that $hit to see the expression on someones face when a correctly built Civic smokes them. Yes with some work you can smoke some Stangs, no you wont beat the newer ones unless you do what this one guy did and swap in a 2000 corvette engine into his civic lol.

imo: auto to manual swap is worth it.

The people on there will be able to help you get the best $hit for your Civic so you can piss off some people out on the roads.
