describe cheap, stay away from the auto dealers that have cheap cars, try auto trader, and if you can buy from a private source that is the best way to go.

Whats a good cheap used car thats good on mpg and doesnt look like crap? Im mainly into older cars and granted i know most older cars are horrible on gas trust me i have 2. I need somin to just go around town in and cruise with.. Any suggestions welcome.
An no 4 dr cars i aint driving a school bus.
It should be 4-door, 4-cyls, not sporty. I would prefer Honda or Toyota... First time drivers usually have much more expensive car insurance, and it depends from car. You should compare insurance rates while choosing the car - for example here - carquotes.fateback.com

Alot of the smaller compact cars have good mpg. The Honda Civic is very noticeable in this category, but others like the 1st-gen Ford Focus, and Toyota Corolla, would also work.

1996 Buick Riviera w/ a supercharged 3.8L V6. It's a two door & looks nice. You may think it's crap, but I drove one & I enjoyed it. It still gets 28 mpg on the hwy. Not bad.
