Guided-missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53), operating nearby, responded, offering assistance to the Iranian fishermen who were waving a cloth as a signal for help.
The dhow's master permitted the destroyer's visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) team to board allowing the team better determine the nature and extent of the boat's engine problems.
John Paul Jones engineers repaired the fan belt in the dhow's engine and assessed it had a foul propeller.
Navy divers assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 1131, embarked aboard aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), were flown using one of Abraham Lincoln's helicopters to John Paul Jones and then, sent by rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) to the dhow.
"We have the capability and training to handle these jobs when they come up and we're just happy to assist whenever we get the call," said Explosive Ordnance Disposal Senior Chief Michael J. Negri. "The best part of the day was when they finally started up their engines and were able to get underway again."

The UN Commissioner of Human rights Navi Pillay having no principles,”
This is the most important sentence in the article.
It clearly states who is attacking the Sinhalese, Moors, Burghers and Malays of the island nation while leaving the Indian colonial parasites of the island; and the Tamil terrorists, the Indian terrorist outfit, and India and Indians all over the world.
Navi Pillay is an Indian colonial parasite (a word I do not like to use but a perfect fit) from Durban, South Africa.
How this Tamil from South Africa does come to terrorize the non-Indians of the island nation.
Her parents or grand parents went to South Africa as sepoys or coolies of the British-Indian Imperialists. They prospered from their host, the black Africa and now come out to fight for the Indian Empire.
There is another Indian colonial parasite from South Africa that is Yasmin Sooka. She is one of the three member panel of the UNSG’s committee who enquired in to alleged war crimes in Sri Lanka (unfortunately it is referred to as Darusman report. It should have been named (A report by a Colonial parasite Ms Yasmin Sooka). These two women have made their professional and financial fortunes from the black South Africans. They were both active in the African national Congress. Yasmin Sooka was a member of the Truth Commission. She was biased against the Zulus during the hearings and in the report.
Not pumping any water so it decided to nip up once hot enough. Once cooled down, we were able to free it up again and it started back up. Good engine.
I had my intake manifold replaced, and within 1 hour my engine overheated and seized! Possible contamination?

I believe that because they did not change the oil before returning my car to me that there was antifreeze in the motor oil. The oil did look creamy but I did not have anyone else look at it..... very frustrated!
call the bureau of auto repair, cause yes the issues are related. they will get involved and make sure you dont ouch anything like change oil. you are entitled to compensation like have them fix your car, rent a car, and punitive damage like missed work, and inconvenience

not enough oil or coolant? usually the oil light/gauge or the coolant light/gauge will indicate a problem.
tim n | Oct 01, 2009
The intake manifold may have been installed incorrectly causing it to leak antifreeze into the engine and overheating it, causing it to seize. Either way, the mechanic is liable for the damages and I would be in contact with them as a result as soon as possible.

Are there any electrical plugs that were left unplugged after the intake manifold replacement?
Did they replace the intake manifold gasket? This could cause fuel to mix with coolant and disaster.
Why was the intake manifold replaced in the first place? It may have been a cooling problem from before and it may have just been a coincidence that your engine overheated now because they didn't top up the coolant.
tin | Oct 01, 2009
Most Inlet manifolds are water cooled these days, it helps with emissions and all that jazz,
Sounds to me that your oil was contaminated, you said your self that it was creamy, this is the usual sign that coolant has mixed with oil, this could cause an engine seizure, but you have said that the engine overheated, this would not usually be a result of contaminated oil, cars can run for days with contaminated oil, then they suddenly stop working and seize up.
sounds like the garage did not top the coolant up to its full level, thus causing the engine to over heat and then cooking the head gasket, which in turn would cause the coolant to mix with the oil (the head gasket separates oil from coolant in the cylinder block and cylinder head). check in your coolant bottle aswell to see if there are any oil deposits in there, if so then the head gasket has most likely blown smell it aswell, if it smells like its burnt, then your head gasket has most defiantly blown.
It sounds like it will require a replacement engine.

THIS IS A TOUGH SITUATION. I GOT CAUGHT IN THIS ONCE. AND I WAS LIABLE. I AVOID THESE JOBS AS A MECHANIC. IF YOU CAME IN WITH OIL MIXED WITH ANTIFREEZE PRIOR TO THE INTAKE JOB. YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY CREATED ENGINE DAMAGE. IE. SPUN BEARINGS. NOW, HOPEFULLY THE MECHANIC AT LEAST CHANGED THE OIL AND FILTER AFTER THE INTAKE REPLACEMENT.
IF HE WAS EXPERIENCED IN THIS, HE WOULD HAVE MADE YOU SIGN A WAVER, INDICATING THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THE MOTOR MAY BE GOOD AFTER COMPLETION OF THE INTAKE MANIFOLD. NO WAY IN ANY WAY HIS FAULT BUT HE CAN BE HELD LIABLE.

Normally a Manifold will last for the life of the Engine . Some times the Butterfly that closes so the Engine can heat up quickly, will stick and overheat the engine, causing the Head gasket to burn out . Usually white smoke will exit the exhaust pipe and the engine will missfire . A burned Headgasket will allow water to enter the engine, and crack the exhaust manifold . My experience with this type of problem is usually a stuck Butterfly , or a clogged Catalytic converter . Depending on the type of car you have, it could be a bad sensor . I feel the Mechanic should have found the exact problem before he replaced anything ! If he doesn't want to repair your car for free, you might want to take him to small claims court . Goodluck .

my engine overheated and seized up?
Oct 24, 2008 by Gerald G | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
bmw 318 , she had an overheating problem, kept topping it up but saw no leak, now she s after seizing up and wont stir no more am i in trouble ?
prolly thru a rod, if so car is done
gapsusie | Oct 24, 2008
Just junk it.
Or try and have it rebuilt.
Is it worth keeping?
jcgimp11 | Oct 24, 2008
Yes. your car has suffered a meltdown and the engine is a mess
jimanddottaylor | Oct 24, 2008
if you never saw a leak then you probably blew a headgasket, cracked your cylinder head, or maybe your heater core was leaking.
moving on...
if its seized to the point where it wont even turn over then you're screwed.
the pistons probably welded themselves to the cylinder walls by the time you quit drivin it....
now you can 1. sell it for scrap 2. get a new engine or 3. push it off a bridge

It sound bad man if you had no leak the leak may have been internal was there any water in the oil if so probably a blown head gasket will it still turn over or is it completely frozen if frozen most likly she past a cheap fix sorry Bro

Check the electric fan in front the radiator is working or any signs of leaking

bmwengine seized due to overheating,no water in engine due to system failure,do i need new head or head gasket?
Sep 03, 2009 by em o | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
the cooling system in my bmw 3 series had a fault so water was not in the engine,i think there was a leak. problem was not serious but i had to fill up water literally every other day since light on dash kept flashing.after the engine seized, the engine wasn't turning over and when i filled up with water it was leaking around the exhaust area.is the engine head gone or is it the head gasket?
Why would you fill it up with water? I hope you mean you filled your radiator with a 50/50 mix of coolant/water.
If it's seized, then just like everyone said, get a new motor.
Nickaroni | Sep 03, 2009
if the engine is seized and not turning over anymore your best bet will to be buy a new engine. If you replace the heads it will still have seized pistons in the block and it wont run or turn over.
jay | Sep 03, 2009
You cracked the head. You now have a 500 lb boat anchor. Sorry man.

engine seized after overheat?
Dec 01, 2008 by matthewbaptista | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
(2001 cbr 929 rr) i got the engine in pieces i know how to put it back together but im trying to find what is really wrong with it im looking at both sides of my crank case and they appear fine to me. crank shaft and cams look good. but the engine would not turn over trying to start it nor in first gear with wieght on the back tire pushing it i see a few scrapes on the pistons and cylinders but could that really be the problem? i dont think so it was not turning i got the haynes for it but i want some second opionions before i put it back i dont want to waste the time its apart now i can do anything i want to it and dont want to waste my time. bottom line what should i look for? are the berrings damaged? how do i check them they dont look that bad but maybe they do to a proffessinal eye.
you may want to check head gasket or check for cracked block which can happen if you drove it while over heating

DOES MY WARRANTY COMPANY COVER MY ENGINE IF IT SEIZES?
Mar 17, 2009 by travissampson2000 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
MY CAR OVERHEATED AND THE ENGINE SEIZED. THE OIL WAS FULL, AND SO WAS THE COOLANT. I THINK MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE THERMSTAT. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY WILL HASSLES ME ABOUT IT...
The fact that you kept driving once it overheated most likely will rid you of any luck with your warrenty.
Once it started going above normal temps you should have stopped and let it cool off before attemping anything.
Since you pushed it so far as to seize up i think you are doomed :<

If overheating was the cause, the heat will show up as burnt brown marks on the underside of the piston crown. Bad scuffing on both the intake and exhaust
