Billy Pauch Sr. dominates Selinsgrove Icebreaker V
24.05.12
SELINSGROVE - At 55 years old, Billy Pauch, Sr., isn't showing any signs of slowing as the short track racing icon from Frenchtown, N.J. put on a driving clinic in winning last Saturday's fifth annual Insinger Performance Products Race of Champions-sanctioned Icebreaker 40 for big block Modifieds at Selinsgrove Speedway.
In front of a packed house, Pauch, who started on the outside of row one, took the lead on the initial circuit and from then on it became a race for second place as he simply dominated the rest of the way.
"I have to say the car was real good tonight and I was just trying to not spin the tires off of it and keep my line,'' said Pauch, who earned $5,000 for the win.
"It was getting pretty close to the wall. There was still a cushion up there, but you still had to be careful and thankfully it worked real well,"
With contingency awards his take for the night added up to $6,700.
Duane Howard started from the pole and was looking to make a sweep of the weekend after he captured Friday's preliminary 25-lap feature, however, Pauch was able to get a jump on him and pulled ahead as the field exited turn two on the opening lap.

Cherokee Speedway starts season with March Madness
24.05.12
Cherokee Speedway will kick off its 2012 racing season on March 3 and 4 with the tenth edition of 'March Madness' featuring an old-fashioned unsanctioned $15,000 to win Super Late Model show, the largest winner's purse paid at the famed speedway in modern history. This will be an Outlaw event pitting Hoosier v.s. American Racer tire, utilizing the Lucas Series tire rule of nothing softer than 1300 or SD44 and Punch Rule in effect.
Cherokee Speedway is still fresh on the minds of fans for a spectacular season-ending Blue Gray 100 as 'Superman' Jonathan Davenport kept the crowd on their feet as he went on to beat out a star studded field which included Dale McDowell, Chris Madden, Dennis Erb Jr., Booper Bare, Earl Pearson Jr., Steve Shaver and Davenport’s new Clint Bowyer racing team mate Jared Landers.
Davenport is expected to be on hand to defend his 2011 March Madness 9 victory, where he edged Scott Bloomquist at the checkered flag. Past Carolina Clash champions Jeff Smith of Gastonia, Ricky Weeks of Rutherfordton, and 2011 Clash champion Dennis Franklin of Gaffney, S.C. will be racing and the driver’s list in all divisions grows daily. 2011 Ultimate Series champion Chris Ferguson of Mount Holly and 4-time SAS-East series champion Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga. are more drivers with much past success at Cherokee Speedway. NASCAR Camping World Trucks racer and 2011 ARCA Champion, Ty Dillon and 2007 World of Outlaws champion Steve Francis are also expected to be in the house.

Aug 20, 2009 by SPEEDY | Posted in Motorcycles
ENGINE; VFORCE reed valve systems, HOT ROD crank, KEIHIN motorcycle racing carbs with K&N air filters. WHEELS; MICKEY THOMPSON drag slicks on chrome rims, AMERICAN RACER street tires on aluminum rims, chrome rims on front. chrome +8 rear swing arm, chrome struts, CPI RACING pipes, kill switch. It Seems to set up for drag racing but I cldont know if it's been raced or not. The owner has not returned my email. It's listed for sale for 4,200. Is the a fair amount.
here is a tip when buying any thing used, first don't be excited about what you are looking at! second you are offering to buy his piece of crap, if the seller sees your excitement he is going to take advantage of it. tell the guy i don't even know if this run offer low 2500$ see where he goes w/ that. if everything is straight this sound like a screamer!!!

What can I do to make my 1996 Honda Accord Ex a little faster?
Oct 10, 2008 by Jack | Posted in Honda
I love my 96 accord Ex. It has 213,000 miles but it runs very nice and would bet my life on it that it is way better than any American car of that year (I mean in terms of reliability).
But what can I do to make it run a little faster? It's a 4 cylinder vtech, 4 door, beige leather. sunroof, the works.
I bought 4 new tires about 5 months ago, so that should last me a long time. But how about the engine? Would adding an air intake make it perform better? If so which kind? An air ram or another one? What else can I do to make it run faster?
Note: I'm not a racer and I don't want to burn out my engine, but it feels like it's lost some of it's torque.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you!
Guys/Gals
I'm not a car expert. So to that guy that said "time for a engine swap" or something to that effect, thank you for your sarcasm :D
well, yeah, the miles could mean that your engine is beat-up, if you feel that your car is underpowered. so you could swap your engine, get a remanufacture or an overhaul. any of those options would do.
but if you don't feel underpowered, you just want it to go a bit faster, then just add a couple of bolt-ons. cone-type filter, a cold air intake if you wanna. then get a free-flow exhaust kit, from the headers to your muffler. cat-back is best. you can also slap on a light-pressure turbo (and everything else that goes with a turbo - intercooler, turbo timer, etc). all that can add about 25-40hp to your car (i'm assuming your engine currently does about 130hp). be warned, though, these things will make your engine more of a gas guzzler.

Well A Cold air Intake, A After Market Catback Exause System, a Exaust Header, A Intake Manifold, There Is a Number Of Things Cam Gears, NOS lol that was a joke... But i Mean u Could Just Swap The Engine Like That Other Dude Said But y waits Thousands Of DOllars When U Can Just Buy a 100-500 Dollar Part and Not Have To Worry about all the hassle.

213,00 miles?
fuel injector cleaner- it has to have build-up
new air cleaner- check throttle body for deposits (resticts airflow)
and a good tune-up
Worry about this stuff before you go all tuner.
It is a 4cyl sedan, it will never be fast, but it will still run great.
belair63us | Oct 10, 2008
i'd say the fuel injector cleaner, air filter & spark plugs route is the way to go. and you can just push harder on the pedal farthest to the right.
