A $360,000-plus bill to be paid for defendants' electronic discovery costs has been slashed by more than 90 percent, as a judge for the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said that organizing electronic files cannot be considered part of copying expenses.
Since the volume of e-discovery has soared in legal cases, courts have come down on both sides in awarding costs and the question of where the burden should fall has loomed large. This case in particular was watched closely by legal observers.
Judge Thomas Vanaskie, for the three-judge panel, issued an opinion March 16 that defines copies as only scanning and file-format conversion. The panel awarded just $30,000 of the $365,000 that the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania had initially levied in Race Tires America Inc. v. Hoosier Racing Tire Corp.
Before wading into the issue, Judge Vanaskie sought to divine the intent of Section 1920, the modern version of the Fee Act of 1853, which governs discovery costs.

I have a 95 awd eclipse. and i have 16inch tires on them with some crappy american racing rims that are so?

dirty that i cant clean them. i want eneki fn 18's... i have 16 inch tires that are like new...is it dumb or is it possible to have them put on the tires i have now?
I see what you're saying. You have ugly rims with new tires. I would suggest getting 16 inch rims and using those tires. Enkei has plenty 16 inch rims to choose from. Besides if you do get 18's on your eclipse, it wouldn't look good unless you get your car lowered. Trust me big rims aren't always the best option.

Each tire is specifically matted to fit each specific rim... there is no way to increase the rim size without getting new tires.
eck_03 | Jul 20, 2009
No, 16" tires will not fit on 18" rims. You will have to buy tires that fit the rims.
You should check out places like tirerack.com they offer packages that come with tires already installed on rims, you just need to mount them...often the package is cheaper than buying tires and rims separately.
Alternately, you should go to an automotive shop like Kragen or Autozone and buy some wheel cleaner...

American Racing Tire Key Help!!!?
Apr 12, 2010 by icehalofire | Posted in Other - Cars & Transportation
I have a 1990 Honda Civic DX that was given to me from my brother after he got another car. At some point he put on some American Racing Rims with some BF something-something tires (not important). The rims have some sort of special tire/wheel key that he never gave to me. After extensive searching, we cannot find the key. I have been to about 6 different tire dealers and all of them said I am pretty much stuck. They all said they could either drill or burn the locking nut off but that might damage/destroy the rim. I don't want to do that. One dealer said he was sure that the tire key pattern is something called McGuard, and I need the serial number or w/e to get it replaced, but I am not sure what he is talking about.
All I know is from the receipt my brother had from when he had the tires installed at Sears. I am wondering if somebody can take a look at it and point me in the right direction with either a link or instructions. I really need the tires off because they are very bald and need to be replaced, ASAP!
The guys at Sears were not very helpful. They said they don't have any of the parts and that I would have to take it up with one of the manufactures. I know the first entry on the receipt is the wheels and the second is the tire key. Can somebody give me a link or help me out, please?
Sear's Receipt:
mcguard is a wheel lock so someone doesnt steal your rims...the only way you are going to get them off is with a torch,,when you buy the wheel locks and you are given the number if its lost its lost for good use heat they will come off and never ever putumcuard locks on your wheels lesson learned

I'd like to lift it about 4" and i was wondering what would be the cheapest way to do this, and still be safe. My Jeep is a 2-wheel drive with a 4.0 inline 6, and an automatic transmission.
I'd for sure look into the Rough Country lifts. They seem to be one of the more favored products with the XJ crowd. When you decide to pull the trigger these guys have good prices and are just west of Athens.

The also do installs if you don't want to tackle it yourself.

There are after market kits available for this, they are reasonably inexpensive, but safe.

This will adjust and compensate for the change in lifet and driveline.

4" **usually** requires other changes to keep the vehicle safe/reliable - and good ones cost big $$. About 3" is all you can lift without wacking-out the suspension geometry.
Look at the 3" to 3.5"" kits - they won't have as bad an effect on suspension geometry and your 31's will fill out the wheel wells nicely, but you still might get a little tire rub on very hard left/right turns.
If you decide to go bigger, look at the kits that change the most stock components. A more $$, but way safer.
PLEASE don't try to do it with blocks and spacers - you'll ruin a great ride. Spend the extra bucks and get a kit with new springs.
I've used Heckethorn/Rough Country for years and been happy. There are many more brands out there. Second link is a good one for the others available.

Being that you have a 2 wheel drive Cherokee, that changes a lot of the variables normally considered in a lift. One item of note is that you do not have a transfer case so the drive shaft comes directly out of the back of the Tranny. This also makes your drive shaft about 6-8 inches longer than the 4 wheel drive Cherokee. What doe this mean?
Normally, I would not recommend more than the 3.5" of lift with the normal Cherokee. If you have a Command Trac transfercase then with a Slip Yoke Eliminator (Rubicon Express has a good kit called by many in the community as the "Hack 'n Tap") is needed to shorten the tail shaft from the transfer case. You would also need a new drive shaft as well.
BUT! You have a 2 wheel drive Jeep Cherokee that already has the longer driveshaft. So you will not need to go through all the expenses of the slip yoke and the drive shaft. So, I say it would be relatively easy to lift your Jeep without the associated issues that 4X4 Jeep owners have.
One caveat would be to call a shop that could help you with the parts you need for this project. Most Cherokee lift kits are for 4X4 Jeeps which means the rear springs might have wedges that are used to offset the pinion angle at the rear differential and prevent vibes in the driveline. One vendor of lift kits that can help in this type of work is Rusty's Off-Road. (http://rustysoffroad.com) Rusty and his family wheel the products they develop and sell to the public and their technical support is second to none. Even during the sales process they will be able to ask all the technical question to make sure your lift is an easy, safe fit.
Good luck with you project!
