GBC Motorsports West Coast Race Report
“Sunday gave me motivation to work harder going into Round 3 of WORCS this weekend in Lake Havasu and for Round 3 of Quad-X next month at Competitive Edge in Hesperia,” Dylan said following the Quad-X races.
Round 3 of the 2012 WORCS ATV season took racers to Lake Havasu, Nevada. GBC Motorsports driver Kayla Smith finished 3rd in the SxS Production 700 class aboard her Dirt Commander tires. She is now in 2nd in the standings following two early podium finishes this season.
Taylor George pulled the holeshot in her row in the SxS Production 1000 class, also using Dirt Commander tires.
Pro-Am ATV racer Dylan Dixon battled his way from a mid-pack start and ended up 6th on his Race Rex tires. He is currently in 4th place in the points battle after three rounds of racing.
The third round of the Yamaha Quad-X Racing Series is slated for Sunday, April 22nd at Competitive Edge in Hesperia, California. The fourth round of the 2012 WORCS ATV is scheduled for April 13-15 at Speed World MX in Surprise, AZ.
Maxxis Sweeps GNCC Maxxis General Pro Podium

In an ending that would have only seemed possible in a movie, Walker Fowler walked to third place in XC1 Pro at the GNCC’s Round 2, the Maxxis General. Maxxis swept the XC1 top four at the race, held March 17 in Washington, Georgia, with Chris Borich earning his second win of the year.
Displaying extraordinary determination after his ATV failed near the finish, Fowler and his team pushed the bike around the rest of the course. When that was no longer possible, last year’s undefeated XC2 champ was aided in walking, thoroughly exhausted, to the finish line. “It went real well,” said Fowler. “I got a holeshot with my Maxxis tires. They hooked up awesome. I led the first part of the race and then had a rookie error getting stuck in the mud hole and got behind everybody. But I just hung in there all day and positioned myself in a good spot the last lap and me and another Maxxis rider, Chris Borich, duked it out. I had a little issue at the end with a possible [motor failure] but we pushed it in and I’m glad to be on the podium finally.”
