ATV tires and wheels?

What are people running on thier ATVs when you see them with what looks like car tires on them. Do small car tires and wheels fit on atvs or are the car tires on the atv wheels
Quad tires are available in sizes up to 27" in diameter. There are millions of different profiles, rim sizes, tread design.
Go to ATV section and look at tires

Some quad tires have a rim that is 12 inches and some cars have tires that are 12 inches so it is no surprise that someone put the two together. As far as the bigger sizes, You can buy rims with any bolt pattern that you want and quads are a simple four bolt pattern like a Honda car. Hope I have been helpful.

Yes, some people are mounting automobile tires on their quads. Auto tires don't provide the traction on soft surfaces as ATV tires do, but they last longer when most of your riding is on hard surfaces.

ATV WHEELS AND TIRES?

i bought some 8x8 rear Hiper Dual Beadlocks and i also need some tires. im going to buy the Maxxis Razr's i was just wondering if you guys can tell me what size of Razr's i need so they can fit on my rear 8x8 dual hiper beadlocks. or how can i figure it out.
It would help to know what you were putting these on.
say a yamaha blaster 20/10-8 20 is the height, this can be anything you want, taller makes more top speed but robes power, smaller quicker take off but less top speed. (10) is the with of the tire, with 8in wide rims you can go up to a 11inch tire, so a 8-9-10 or 11 in the middle number- 11 is the most common tire with. then the last # 8 this is a must, you CANNOT CHANGE THIS NUMBER, 8 is the size of the hole in the tire, the tires u buy must have the last # of 8

Will this ATV tire/wheel combo work alright?
Mar 04, 2008 by bamacowboy82 | Posted in Motorcycles
I have a '06 Polaris Sportsman 450 and I want new tires for it. The stock tires were 25's but I'm gonna move up to 26's. My back rims are 12X8 and I want to get the Mudzilla 26X12X12's to go on the back. Will this tire wheel combo fit and perform alright? If not I'm open to recommendations. Thanks!
Are the stock back rims 12" in diameter? You left that out.If so they will go on.Keep in mind you"ll have a "ballooned"sidewall, more susceptible to puncture.

new tires and wheels for an ATV?
Apr 11, 2009 by thedude8543 | Posted in Motorcycles
i have a 2006 Kawasaki brute force 650 and i was think about going from the stock tires and rims to new ITP 27 inch tires and some sort of ITP rims (not sure which), so is there any power or speed loss/gain?? if there is a lossvare there any other things i need to get to make the ATV better??
bigger tires mean faster top end, but slower acceleration.
with that said, you have plenty of power in your 4 wheeler, you won't notice much reduction in take offs, but you will see higher speeds.
also, make sure you get the right tires for what you plan on doing.
you will get more clearance with bigger tires, which is good, but, you will be putting more stress on all the drive shafts, axles, bearings, and transmission. this is because all those components, including the engine, will need to turn the bigger tires, and overcome the friction from the bigger tires.
hope that helps.

The US record is an incredible 1.98 seconds. If something has wheels and an engine, there's a competition or a race for it. The two-day event attracts a wide variety of competitions for ATV's, trucks and snowmobiles, along with the dragsters.
Following the deaths of dozens of soldiers who were riding in “flat-bottomed” Strykers, the vehicles' manufacturer was tasked with coming up with a design that deflects explosions from the crew compartment, and includes enhanced armor, wider tires and
