“In a segment as critical as this, with longtime nameplates and new challengers fighting for every sale, it’s not enough to just target the competition. You have to think outside – and far above – the segment,” said Brian Carolin, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing, Nissan North America, Inc. “We created the new Altima to set a clearly recognized benchmark for many years to come.”
Most Innovative Altima Ever
The 2013 Altima is one of five all-new Nissan models set for introduction in the next 15 months and, as the second best-selling car in the United States in 2011, much is riding on the new fifth generation Altima.
“The safe thing to do would be to follow other automakers’ paths, conservatively evolving the Altima so as not to upset the existing owner base. But that would not be in keeping with Nissan’s ‘Innovation for All’ philosophy,” explained Carolin. “We took our most successful model and changed nearly everything – the look, the feel, the driving experience and, of course, the technology down to even the headlights and windshield wipers.”
“What’s a plan, anyway?” Aarene Storms said to me on ride morning at Home on the Range. “You make one so that you can have something to crumple up and throw away.”
The plan
I am best at long-range schemes, the kind where sticktoitiveness counts for more than a constantly perfect execution. So we (that’s Cathy Leddy, who bred and owns Danny, and me, who has ridden him through his education on the trail) have been thinking of this ride as part of a continuum, not just as an end in itself. Still we did have a rough plan for how we would handle Danny’s first LD — we would aim to be towards the back of the pack in the 25 mile Limited Distance, riding at a pace that was within our horses’ capabilities. This way we would be fit to deal with any unexpected requirements, like getting a little lost, or having to help another rider, or needing to slow down for our own sake, without being stressed about time, factors that had cropped up in the past. Of course, I knew would be a different kind of unexpected this go-round – that’s what keeps things interesting!

Best Summer Tires for 1993 Mercedes 190E 2.3?
Feb 22, 2008 by melissa25b | Posted in Mercedes-Benz
I am looking for the best pair of tires for a 1993 Mercedes 190E 2.3. I tend to do a lot of highway driving so anything that would make it a smoother drive is good. Also, I would like some expensive and less expensive choices. And what would be a good website to order them from, but that ships to Canada, possibly a site that ships from NY, Vermont or surrounding areas. Thanks!
You don't need a summer tyre. Just not a winter tyre. With out help, I would guess you have 15" wheels and a solid choice for your area would be the michelin @ approx $110.00 ea.
try WWW.Tires.Com the will ship from Ohio.

more importantly you need to get the correct size tire. You should use the exact size tire that originally came with the car when it was brand new. Mercedes has already determined it is the best one for the car,,,and they drive it on the Autobahn.

I would consider Michelin Pilot and Toyo Proxes at the high-end and Sumitomo and Kumho at the opposite end of the spectrum.
For side by side comparisons and user feedback try tirerack.com. They have best prices on tires and rims with a great selection.
Best of luck!

The best summer tire for a MBz would be a radial tire with a UTOG rating of AA. Most tire manufacturers make several varieties of tires for different uses and different seasons. The best value may be in a more expensive tire with long life and higher speed ratings. Visit the nearest TIRE RACK store to you to find the best deal for your driving needs. You may be a candidate for an all season tire. If Canada tries to charge duty and sales tax on the tires you select, you may have to drive your car into New England to get the best deal for your special needs. Sales tax in N.Y. = 4.25%; VT = 6%; N.H.= 0%; MASS = 5%; (RSVP)

if your magwheels are still the original, then folow the owners manual specification for your tire, ti will give you optimum traction as well as road silence while cruising. 195 X 60 X R15
michelin, perelli, goodyear and dunlop may be used without any problem at all.

Best summer tires for a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE (six-speed with mods)?
Jul 31, 2009 by -VQ35DE- | Posted in Nissan
I'm currently in store for new tires for my 2002 Maxima SE six-speed, and I want "ultra high performance summer" tires since I live in the LA area and it never rains.
There's a lot of options online in that category, is there anyone who's tried high performance summer tires on their 02-03 Maxima? Reviews? Thanks
These Michelin have tread wear 300.

What are the best high performance summer tires I can put on my 2005 cadillac cts-v?
Sep 30, 2010 by Cookie Monster | Posted in GMC
I'm trying to keep the price range to below 300 a tire
Michelin pilot sport are very good tires. A lot of this depends on where you live. If you live in the south and have to deal with the rain get a tire with a tread pattern that displaces the water out of the way because hydroplaning is bad. If you live in the city you want a softer compound. IMO screw tirerack and any other online store when your looking for quality over quantity. Go to a good tire store and let the actual professionals deal with it esp. at the price point that you want.

Go to Tirerack.com. They have user ratings for many different tire performance categories. You will find some tire that fits your needs. Just read through the many user comments and ratings to get a feel for which tire you might like.

What are the best summer tires for my 2010 Scion tC?
Dec 31, 2010 by Vincent | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I bought my 2010 Scion in Guam in June 2009. For those of you that are not familiar with Guam, it is a U.S. territory in the Pacific Ocean with a climate similar to Hawaii, except hatter and it sucks more. That being said, I moved to Hawaii in June of 2010. The tires that came on my car are Yokohama S32As, and they don't seem to be holding up too well. I drove my car on and off between the time I bought it and 3 February 2010. That was the day that I shipped it to Hawaii. I did not see my car again until late June 2010. It is now almost January 2011, with only 8000 miles on the car, and the tires are not doing so well. I am certain that an all season tire is probably not ideal for the tropical climate.
To make matters worse, I scraped a curb today and peeled back a chunk of the sidewall about a half inch long and an eighth of an inch deep. I would really not like to buy new tires right now, but if I have to replace the front two I am thinking of just replacing them all.
I am in the military, and I will be here in Hawaii for at least the next 2.5 years. I am trying to find the best quality/reasonably priced tires for my car. As I already said, the car has Yokohama S32A 215/45/ZR17s on it right now.
I have been reading mixed reviews about every tire I have come across. The most appealing ones at the moment are Continental ExtremeContact DWs and Yokohama AVID ENVigor. I am a little apprehensive about buying Yokohamas after my experience with the tires that I have though, Please let me know what you think.
If anyone in Hawaii knows the best place to buy good tires cheap, please let me know. Sears and Firestone's prices suck. Lex Brodies? I don't know because they don't post their inventory on the website. Thanks.
No shit. I'm not going to put truck tires on my car. I was hoping for a little more insight as to which brand and model of tire would be best.
I would take a look at http://www.consumersearch.com/tires for some for the best rated tires.I've heard good things about the Michelin pilot sport from people who live in Hawaii. It is made for performance cars in hotter (non-snowy) climates.
As for where to buy tires- you may want to consider Costco.com if you are a member. You can also get discounts from most retailers by going to a coupon site. I believe Costco.com will have a sale on Michelin tires starting January 6th. You can also find coupons from sears.
Super Bowl-winning QBs top list of game's best signal-callers and still has some tread left on the tires. He's a free agent and hopefully he stays in Seattle.
